Divination Cards -- Balance Lost.
" I'm pretty sure that's the complaint. GGG intended divination card sets to be solo farmed so people can actually get the items they want, but in reality that is far from the case. |

Divination Cards were destined to be crap. A glorified increase in droprates of specific items, and a money-trap for gullible people wanting to support ggg.
There is only a handful of cards that are actually somewhat decent. 90% are utter junk. And those people thinking they had the economy in mind: They quadrupled the droprate of t1 uniques a patch later, perandus league was next, and then we had prophecy, again showering players in uniques and even 5ls and 6ls. The economy is a joke, it always was a joke. If anything divination cards are meant to suck in money for ggg, by being a 500 dollar sink for potential supporters. Requiring little effort to implement, and wasting stash space for everyone else by the sheer abundance of these cards, and in turn increasing incentive to buy stash tabs. |

I agree. Div cards are a joke TBH. It was just another cash grab by GGG, because the cards are super easy to implement.
The cards are a joke except for a few. They just take up stash space now. Long live the carrion crow Dynamic Environment - Day/Night, Rain/Lightning - http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/110100

" Thats the problem for me, it would be neat idea if implemented craefully, but the sheer amount of different cards and adding more and more and more is just awful, reagarding that many of them are only crap. "better to simply go balls deep full retard if you gonna go retard." -Boem-

" Downvote. Vote +1 to change Path of Exile to Path of Nerfs.
We hate to say, but ProjectPT was right. |

By the time you find 1 "The Wind" card from focusing on maps that drop it you'll find enough currency by farming casually to buy 10 Windrippers.
I know people hate the idea of soulbound items but it would have been the logical way to implement the cards given GGG's intention, being farming a certain area to get a certain item. It would also make sense since the idea behind them was to help solo players relying on something a bit more deterministic to get their hands on a specific item. As of now they're just considered another currency. |

Anything that makes farming an item comparable to trading for one will flood the market with that item. No way around that, other than binding, and they're not going to go there. So... either you make a card for an item that no one really wants, or you make a card than no one can reasonably farm. Black or white. No grey.

cards suck such as doctor and the fiend that everybody truly wants and prolly have the droprate of an exalted orb or half a mirror , because GGG still riding the "muh economy" train.
it will enver change , ive pointed it out for over 4 years and even got temporarily banned for it from the forums and permanently banned from the subreddit for voicing my concern. there is too much focus on economy , player economy to say the least and it´s worriesome. if PoEs only selling point is "it has an economy" then it´s no wonder people are starting to take longer breaks or never even return again. "you shouldn´t be allowed to grind for something on your own you must trade with others from teh scraps you are given" this is poe and always has been. now if you think that it´s okay , that is your opinion. but for anyone with a part of sanity left and objectiveness it is not. i don´t find it fun to pay the price of 2 6links for 2nado proj on a devotos so i farm it myself. not because the game restricts me from farming that currency , i´ve it but because i find it a redicoulus price and rather get it myself. but wait there is more i´ve to get through 10-15min of uberruns with twice enchanted and havent seen it in over 70 runs yet thats around 140 enchants rolled on helm only , +- 20. im getting offtopic. also ran multiple springs and shrines with monstrous treasure and fortune teller collection. the RNG is not fine and all these "ye its okay theyre rare" are sickening to me. it makes me question if people having them want them to stay super expensive and equal to a 6l item a single card or enchant as expensive as a 6l unique weapon or hightier rare. if you think that is okay , you are out of your mind. end of toystory. ediT: the reason those cards are so rare , is because its as rare to 6l something as to loot a card and you need 8-11 of em let that sink in for a bit. the whole game is balanced around this tiresome economy meme and it is driving people away over 50% of players quit after a month of playing sofctore or hc leagues because there is nothing left to play for reasonably besides dreaming about that rare drop. " I don't believe they ever said that. The community saw them, and thought that, but that was never the intention. If you want the complaint to be 'stop balancing around trade' that's a different story. A futile one too, probably. Rather than shift balance for the few who refuse to trade, they're better off running periodic SSF races. I know I'm hyped for the one in a few days. Wish it were 1 week though. |

Those extremly OP items like devotion or HH should be rare as hell and require pooling to get. Some very decent items are very farmable though prolly too easy like 6L astral plates.
I hate cards in general. Feels like a cheesy cash grab and grows loot too high. Thats the whole problem BTW. trade vs non trade balance. 1200 volls run should give you devotion in SF but no way in the trade game. One day of farming in crypt should give 6L astral plate but no way in trade game. Git R Dun! Последняя редакция: Aim_Deep#3474. Время: 1 авг. 2016 г., 19:30:19
