Did i read that right ? 100% map drop rate change seems crazy high . I mean for some folks im sure it's a welcome change but alot of us can sustain maps pretty darn well with the curent system .
Are we all just going to be swimming in maps now i wonder. Looking for these new things we use on the atlas will become the new gind like old high end maps ?
And how many T14-15 DROPPED for you? Not bought but literally DROPPED!

Right, so that's a good example of what I was talking about before, and what I think RulerofAsgard was saying. Imagine if T16 maps were around now with no drop rate buffs. How many T16s would you expect to find if they were even slightly more rare than the 15s? One?

Actually the "4 atlas sides" thing should take care of that. Effectively, it splits the pool of maps that can drop on you in at least 4 more or less equal pieces. So, with only 25% of the pool to draw from, the chances should pan out to effectively give you a flatter distribution of drops in short term. (ie. no huge streaks of unlucky low level maps)
And keep in mind that the 4 sides thing is confirmed, but for all we know they might have restricted drops even further (ie. you can only drop maps that are in your immediate atlas-vicinity, seen from the map you play).
Assuming that the original distribution was determined by map base, which I think was never the case. With the upcoming update, when a map drops, a random tier will first be chosen and then a random map from that chosen tier (taking into account your connections on the map and earlier unlocked nodes) according to some distribution only the developer knows.

Technically you don't although it naturally goes against the entire design of the atlas. So if the hamsters want to run gorge all day long, they can still do so, if they desire.

Seems good to me. I think their intention is to make red maps more accessible. Red maps cost like 5-20c when I check every once in a while which is really too much for just being able to clear one area, IMO.

Since there are 100 maps total we will only get the 100% added drop rates for having run all 100 map types, a feat that most players will not be able to accomplish. We also need to seriously consider that the starting map drop rates quite likely will be nerfed compared to what we have right now so in the end 100% drop rates may only amount to a few % for all average players.
