have you considered using one of your specters as a curse specialist and freeing the curse gem? I did that in another build once and it was very reliable, right now I am using a diabolist to apply enfeeble and it's working fine and for now I have a free gem

Can you explain in detail how this works? I havent played in a couple of patches, and I assume curse specialists is something rather new. How do they work? Is it a special type of spectre or?

not really new, it's basically one of the many monsters that use the different curses the games have available when you raise an specter of that monster it will apply the curse for you

for example, the diabolist is a monster in act 1, the upper prison (one of the necromancer looking dudes) they spam enfeeble to the nearest pack or boss and try not to fight directly unless they are in melee range, all they do is spam enfeeble, there are variants for each curse around the game, they are reliable enough with their spam and free you a gem slot (and the manual work of applying the curse yourself)

I am still leveling and using one chieftain (for frenzy charges) and a diabolist for enfeeble and in the free slot I put a pride aura for extra damage until i get MoM and see what I do with the free slot (even a portal gem is useful there) not a big change for the build but it's a nice QoL

So I've only just hit maps and was lucky enough to get a vaal summon skellies while SSF. I don't like that they dont really follow you unless the next pack is really close.

You end up facing packs without them as you regain souls. Am I missing something or is that part of the playstyle? It seemed faster to just use then non vaal version of the skill gem in the 6L.

I'm about to get the sockets right for spectres which apparently add a nice dps boost.

I only use the vaal version for bosses, regular ones for mapping

the vaal version is supposed to be a dps nuke for hard fights not to play around maps

bosses/shaper/etc you spam the vaal version as soon the boss activates

all map bosses have a soft instance aka you don't get a loading screen, so all the souls you collected stay with you in the boss room that means that yes, if you have the vaal skill soul meter full you just pop it when you are in the boss room

One last question - as the guide suggests putting spectres on a 3L - it causes an issue when i want to access the gems I'm leveling on my weapon swap.

Swapping to the other set of weapons despawns my spectres and i have to get them again when i swap back. Do i need to either place spectres on a 4L or reget them whenever i swap? or is there a place i can wep swap without despawning them?

Is Queens escape alright to use? just happened to get one

Guys, what is better, 4L skeletons on +1 minion gems setup, or 6l Tabula? Not sure if it's worth farming BA to get one, only to find out helm setup gives about the same dps.
