Last time I tried them (Incursion, admittedly) the damage on the chaos variant was horrible. The Lightning and Fire damage ones were actually really decent and on par (at the time at least) with SG (maybe a smidgen weaker, but way better health). I think the lightning ones also have a melee range lightning aoe type spell as well. Not huge coverage, but good damage in a tight ring and they are not afraid to get in there face to face with a mob.

Fire ones are totally unplayable, with 4 of those you screen is so covered with fire balls you cant see anything, also lightning ones are sadly weaker than SGs in terms of clear and bossing.

It's also trickier to proc EE for lightning risen because there isn't anything similar to Storm Brand for cold or fire. I used avatar of fire, but it's too far to travel to with the current tree.

Have you had much problem with level 3 syndicate masters in (juiced-up) T15-16 when using SGs? I'm thinking this might be a problem, especially if mapping with GMP.

If you look at the walkthrough, in act 4, it says something about switching to spectres as main skill when you buy wraithlord reach level 34.

Prior to getting wraithlord, spectre survivability is so low, they tend to drop dead all the time. So Storm Brand + Zombies + Phantasms are more effective. Plus in act 1-3, even a level 1 added cold gives SB a good chance to freeze.

Once you transition to spectres, we use SB to proc Elemental Equilibrium for -50% fire res.

Now that I'm not trying to tag everything when doing the league mechanic, I'm getting much better loot! I can't believe I actually thought the objective was trying to tag as many monsters as possible, no wonder my time always ran out, and I never got much loot.... LOL. Now I just go straight for the monsters with the symbols over their heads and ignore everything else. The outcome is MUCH better..........

I don't know the etiquette in situations like this, but has anyone poked a GGG community rep to see if the nerf to Fire Eaters was intentional? Could entirely just be they got caught in the crossfire of the early-game rebalancing, since they show up in act 1 now.

Is that ok ?
I summoned Fire-eater on lvl 59 (Dececrate creates lvl 59 corpes, summon spectre up to lvl 67) and he gets one shot from any attack ?

None at all here. Played SGs last league. You dont really need GMP at all and they do all content easily with the exactly same setup. Masters just disappear.

If you summoned them on low level area then it's normal.
I had same issue few days ago - I was/I'm still fresh to spectre.

That happen if you summon them on low level area and move on with them as they are. If you done it map - example:

Ledge - level 8 map
Dececrate - lvl 59
Raise spectre - lvl 67

Then summoned minion will be level 8 even if you move with it to 58lvl location. And will be weak and 1 shooted.

But, if you summon Fire-Eaters on ledge and then u move to higher level map. Use your Dececerate again, it will start spawning Fire Eaters on that high level location too. Sometime it will be one body per 3-4 casts. On other maps it will be almost every cast - depends how many different mobs could be find in a map.

So each time you move to higher lvl locations, re-summon your spectres to get stronger one.
