Look for a room with Contains Minion or Aura Items. They are pretty rare thus the high costs of these chests. It would probably be easier to drop the 4-7ex needed to get one that you can clean up and multi mod to your liking. I aim to get a decent one myself once I finish crafting my wand, animated guardian helm, get empower lvl 4, and a 21/23 spectre gem.

For sure just keep in mind with everything up (According to POB) you are dropping over 250k dps per spectre minion to not take Elemental Focus. This is why i think it would be more worth it to use a helm to 6l until you can afford either a 6l Vis Mortis or a 6l +1 spectre Body Armour. For a small cost of 30-50c it is a pretty substantial amount of DPS.

I have gotten pretty far with the build now, managed to kill Uber Atziri and Uber Elder now! but i am struggling a bit with where to keep going with. Which passive would you recommend after filling out the tree from your guide? Which maxed corrupted gems would you recommend investing in?

1. Swap out one life flask, one quicksilver, and your mana flask for other defensive / utility flasks.

What I use:

2. Get an Aul's Talisman if you can afford it.

3. Unset rings with a temple life mod are nice. You can multi-mod these rings for minimum endurance charges, focus buffs, etc.

4. A rare +1 spectre chest is good because you can craft +1 curse, 10% life as extra ES, resists, whatever else you desire. (can be pricey)

5. You could also consider upgrading your gloves to shaper/elder variants such as these:

(socketed gems are supported by blind is another good one)

Any idea how helpful getting Enchantment Convocation Cooldown Speed 2 from Uber Labs would be on my helm? This would get us to a 2 second cd time on Convocation.

Is their a better enchant I should be looking for? I ran a few using twice enchanted and only got garbage. Same question for Gloves/Boots?

So I found Crazed driver spectres in Maelstrom of Chaos and they look, behave exactly like Slave drivers, but they have a red surge skill, and do physical damage

But much less damage than Slave drivers, but physical damage is not resisted like ele damage and with impale, maim and hatred could be quite good

The damage is really low, so boss killing is slow. Map clear is fine though, don't need much dps for that.

Impale won't do anything. It's for 'attack' not 'spell'.

Brutality is straight phys and no elemental or chaos, and also no Elemental Equilibrium.
I think you would get more overall damage with Grip of the Council + Hatred & Generosity & Zealotry + Added Fire. And proc EE with storm brand.

The damage is still well below SDs. I only use them if I load an ele ref map by accident.

You have to be careful with glove/boots. There are enchants that give lightning damage, so you'll have to re-run lab to get rid of them.

Convo CD is probably not worth it.

I actually liked Flame Dash CD reduction because it allowed me to recast pretty quickly.

I would build for more survivability: pick up more life.

The gems don't make a huge difference for this build because the damage comes from the level of the spectre. So if you go from 20/20 Raise Spectre to 21/20, you get 2% more damage for a significantly higher cost. Basically every 21 gem is going to give you 1-2% more.

I think it would be more worthwhile to buy better equipment.

If you're still using Wand & Shield, you can experiment with different spectres.
