6-linking is not worth it?

This is what a lot of people don't understand: RNG balances out over the long run. They expect every 6-link to be below 1,000 fusings, else they'll be utterly disappointed since all the people in global that talk about 6-linking have had good RNG.

The price of 6-linking will not change at all. What does change is the market. As more and more 6-links are sold, demand and supply level out and the price drops eventually. That doesn't mean 6-linking isn't worth the process, it means the market is growing. ;-)

What you're experiencing is called "survivor bias". You don't see the ones who didn't sell their item because they failed. You only see the ones who succeeded and therefor think that success is more common than it actually is.

Really don't think this is survivor bias lol you can use that to prove or disprove anything as it makes large assumptions about the failures you can fill in your own reason as to why they failed and use it to justify anything. You love to shoot down people who complain about rng changes and this is the same thing you can't see the data you have no idea.

Its more like whatever term you want to come up for for when there is a difference between a currencies perceived worth and its actual worth. People like using their own currency it might be more efficient to trade everything into chaos and straight buy a 6l but by and large people don't want to do that, and if everyone did it the price of chaos would rise to where it was pointless to trade in.

I "shoot down" people who don't use statistics to prove their claims, but rely on how they feel about a process.

The performance of 6 links is so minor I always stop if I hit a 5 link. So a lose a small amount of dps or defence which means nothing at all as far as how far that character can go. But if REALLY feels nice when that 6 link does occur before the 5 link.

there are also things like

six linking a chest with 5-6 off colours
six linking rare chests

etc.

With most of the builds, the extra link means an additional "more" damage gem.

With so much power creep, 6L easily makes the difference between "good" and "god tier".

40%-ish MORE damage is not "minor". And as suggested above, sometimes the chest is off colored and the 6th link is pretty necessary to function.

People have different goals. People have different metrics by which they judge minor/major. People love to argue.

Think I've figured out why this game is a success.

No. There is not "reason" to use Vorici. Only superstition. It's been shown that it's expected cheaper to do it manually.

There is always a reason to use vorici, which is to bypass randomness. it may be cheaper to do it manually, but sometimes some people just do not want to take the chance. Or some people may not have the funds to undergo a massive fail at linking, but are 100% cool with getting it guaranteed. Its always an option.
