New minion notable nodes are like a joke

You aren't wrong but they can't do any of the things they want to if its gated on a chimera drop, you really want to lock a whole bunch of builds behind one unique? It'd be fine if it was one but they are adding a whole bunch of stuff that literally doesn't work without it.

Yes, because unique item make unique builds.
The old Vaal Pact make your damage to become your defence, double benefit, and this 2 nodes are the same, your minions are strong, and you're too.

Where do you get your %minion damage ? The 2 notable nodes are right in side bunch of %minion damage nodes and who is stupid enough to ignore those node while allocating %minion damage node ?
If it was as good as your making out everyone would run scourge, they aren't because it really isn't that good :p calm down its really not that bad!
Because the claw itself is not good but it unique mods are. If you already have those unique mods, then you just need to replace a no good weapon with another awesome weapon.
One thing i can't calm down because like i said, Notable Nodes don't work this way, they are Major Nodes without penalty and it break the game design.
Making Dominating Blow meta... one node at a time.
Scourge will still give 70% minion damage, which is kind of crazy good for minion builds ya know.

This. It's still a solid local pdps weapon in its own right, with an additional global 70% inc damage for both you and your minions... it's still plenty unique and would be a pretty damned good choice even if you have those notables (actually better, since the minion attack speed it grants would apply to you too). It's just not required anymore if you wanna fight alongside your minions, and it shouldn't be if there's an entire build archetype added based on that.
I think Scourge will be really good with Herald of Agony on the right side of the tree (shadow/tricster/raider/etc...) that don't want to travel all the way to templar area just for those nodes. What I've seen the Agony Crawler will be quite poggers with the +70% minion damage from the claw without investing any on the minion nodes.

The claw is still strong, but I do agree it loses a lot of it's 'uniqueness' now.
Some things can be too unique in this game. That's when you might come to think of said thing as a bottleneck to player imagination. So you had to use a claw before? Now you don't. Sounds AMAZING.
planning out my dominator guardian and i am still having trouble beating scourge out damagewise, especially when dualwielded. The 70% minion damage on hit is rather hard to ignore, even on an average dps roll claw.

the new chober prophecy thing may be able to compete but getting that 6 linked will prettymuch make it way more expensive by comparison, and as best i can tell it will still be "competitive" rather than outright better.

also leech from the claws will be nice as there isnt that much to get without stretching pretty far from the minion nodes.

and the new nodes will mean that actually scaling this build before level 70 is possable, so i say huzzsah to that


i will say that if we truly wanted to maintain the very unique identity of scourge the new nodes would totally function fine at like 50% of value
