Should be 1/10 with that method if you’re okay with any tier of minion damage per craft of exile I believe. Think the 1/4 might be skewed though since bound pushes the +2 aura essence to being more likely by 10x. This is all an inexact science though, so I’m sure both ways work (I hit +2, minion dmg, and 30% with both methods, one each. First time I didn’t settle, second time I did)

" Oh yea. 1/30 its for t1 minion dmg and minion levels. For t1 minion lvl and any lvl minion dmg its 1/10. But about random essence. If aura one boosting from bound fossil (and I think it really was, because aura essence was almost every slam) I only can imagine real chances. |

Great build guide. I'm playing a phys skellies build I kinda put together myself from looking at various other builds and would love some advice on what to do next.
I'm doing over 2M dps per skeleton with no cluster jewels, plus AG with Kingmaker which I haven't accounted for in in PoB (PoB link: https://pastebin.com/J1xExmsF). Is it worth switching over to your cold version at this point? I've got around 40ex in currency and most of my gear should switch straight over except for the gloves which will mean I need to balance resists again and I'll definitely lose chaos res. Is the cold version a big upgrade? Open to suggestions. Current gear: |

Any tips on how to get tankier? I think I have enough damage, but I still get wiped now and again. Makes leveling quite slow. I've got 5.5k life and 1.6k ES or so.

" The main draw of a cold build at higher investment levels is the ability to move minions into a hat. This not only gives a pseudo 7-9 link, but also frees up two gem sockets for a curse setup or more flexibility. Before level 4 gear, cold does more damage last time I calculated, but it's not that much more anymore, and phys is more than fine. " Don't forget that half of a good defence is a good offence - if enemies are dead before they show up on your screen, then you'll get hit by less stuff. For skeleton mages in general, you ideally want to just one shot everything since the range of the mages is so long. About the tree - not a big fan of glancing blows. I know it smooths out damage, but if I recall the math correctly, you end up taking more damage. That's compounded with a lack of health recovery outside flasks - I'd recommend enduring cry, though it's somewhat dangerous to use without Call to Arms. Far left jewel node is too expensive at three points if you're not using a cluster jewel - just put it into the scion life wheel instead. Aim for 6k life. CWDT Immortal call - I'd suggest just getting bone barrier instead, if you can afford to not have Commander of Darkness. Bind that to your left mouse button to pre-emptively protect yourself.
