":) No reason to drop the subject. Now that we know we're on the same page, feel free to talk about anything freely for sure. Jewels included. So, that's one of the great, and crappy, things about this game. The in-game tool-tip really sucks for almost everything but defensive stats. The hard part about knowing the difference between the mods you mentioned is that they scale off of each other. "Increased" increases the base damage (kinda) of the damage, while the "multiplier" multiplies the base damage. If you have a high multiplier with no base damage, your damage sucks. If you have good base damage and no multiplier, you damage sucks. I like min/maxing, but I don't have time to marry myself to the idea. In the Media section of the guide, I have a link to a PC tool that you can download called Path of Building. It takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it takes care of TONS of stats for you. Two things to keep in mind with it: 1) don't get carried away with values "on paper" gameplay always gives the most realistic outcome. 2) There will always be bugs. They do a great job at keeping PoB up to date, but there will always be something that the program doesn't catch or consider. PoB is an amazing app and will let you import your characters, create items, plan builds...it's awesome. Hi WoD,
Getting to the point where I'm maxing out gems. Do you have any general direction for which gems we should get 20% quality on first? Or any order of preference? I was going to do it by whatever gems hit lvl 20 first but thought it might be better to do some before others. Thanx! |

I just go with the flow. The first thing I 20%ed was RF. I'm also finding a lot of gems that are already 7-15% since I started this character, which also helps to decide which one I want to 20% first.
After I've messed up my 4 link cwdt setup, I'm just going to vendor them at level 20 with a gemcutter orb to get all 4 to 20% (They're 19 right now). It's not too important, eventually you'll 20% them all, even if it's just for the bragging rights :D Want to play a beginner friendly, highly expandable and reliable build? Hi, I'm following this guide on my witch, but I just have to double-check, will this build be able to walk through heist contracts?
That's all I'm looking for atm but it seems to be a hard thing to specifically search for. |

Heists are super fun with this build. I'm not that far into the heists though.
@Wrecker; I just found an 5% Elemental Army support gem, what do you think of this gem? If used with the golems, maybe we can free the slot where Wave of Conviction is in for something else? "Good question Rex_Urhole! It's a matter of patience or preference I guess. I'd say the sooner your auras and Stone Golem can be ignored the better. But in terms of RF or its supports? I just do them as they come. I don't really find a difference. They are all so dependant on each other. It doesn't take long to level them...the problem is just remembering that your gems are low-level. I forget that often for sure and I wonder why I'm dying or why my damage sucks. Then I look and I'm like, "oh right, level 12 gems in a T16...". But to answer your question, Auras and the Stone golem are huge. "Sweet LibraExAnima! The exposure on Wave of Conviction is stronger (-25%) so I would personally still stick with WoC instead of Elemental Army's -10%. " Cool thanks! I suppose it will be worth using my GCPs on vitality and S. golem since it might be far too long to relevel with the 1 GCP vendor recipe once they hit lvl 20 in normal leveling. (I'm switching the supports to my 2nd weapons/shield to gain exp once they hit 20 and I do the vendor recipe) |

Hello, I am starting to hit a plateu in VII and VIII maps.
I'm currently trying to work on my boots and on my gem quality, but otherwise I don't know how to progress further the power of this build. Bare with me, this is my first character ever. You can check my ele here. What can I look for to keep growing in power? I get off of work, star POE and I don't really know where to go or what to look for. In poeninja, most people using RF go for a specific flask, but other than that I'm at loss. Some pointers would be good. Thanks in advance! :D |
