Anyone playing Ruthless - opinions so far?

It's definitely wierd not playing with support gems or worrying about links. I can see that going away with a character planned around the gems found by other characters. I've only gotten one to drop... and not playing a trapper. Maybe next.

I've got 3 support gems to drop so far: Concentrated Effect, Lesser Multiple Projectiles, and Chance to Poison.

And my first unique... Kiara's Determination.

I am pretty happy so far. I am currently in act 4 just after killing piety. I have not found Any support gems yet but I make do with a combination of skills. I am hoping to find some vaal orbs eventually as I did like to play around with vaal double strike.

I have been taking my time and was at one point overleveled with about 7 levels. I do think that wisdom scrolls and portal scrolls drop in an excessive amount comparwd to items worth using a scroll on. Do far anyway. I might be needing Them later.

As for crafting, I actually hated the availability the bench and harvest offered. It affected my interrest in item drops negatively i feel like. So i am happy it is gone. My only concern is build enabling mods like the conversion mods on gloves which i am not sure how to obtain now.

Overall. I will probably only play ruthless from now on.

I am bored tbh .... the lack of movement... the nerfed quicksilver pots...
i'm level 45 and still have no movement on boots... (and crafting is gone?)
it is tedious.. drawn out.. it lacks the fun element from the main game .. it lacks the feeling of achievment and excitement that real hardcore can bring...

After playing the standard game for many seasons I have realised I simply am not enjoying the monotony of it.

and I am already ready to skip this league because of it.. I gave it my best... thought i was a pioneer... but yeah it is flat and pointless.. no achievments.. no reason to try and make myself like it.
Ruthless = POE basic for masochists

Starting out was rough.
Now in late Act 3 and just capped my resistances.
Feels better now.

According to PoE Wiki the Quicksilver Flask boots craft should still work, but I haven't tried it (I found multiple movement speed boots lol)

Of course, I haven't seen any Quicksilver Flasks besides the quest one...

every blue item is worth identifying... just for the alch shards.

Just thought of this... we playing Ruthless are going to feel like we're cheating if we go back to regular play. I know I will.

As a Casual im enjoying it, the pace is fine and i mostly play ssf so im ok (ish) with the drop rates although i do have to admit im hitting a bit of a wall with sanctum to the point ive given up on it all together, i just dont find it fun which is making me feel like not bothering with this league.
I was really excited about Ruthless and the most exciting fights ive had so far are with Izaro

The problem im finding with Ruthless is im getting quite bored of the same skill and the constant spamming of it over and over to kill some mobs and its really not fun when i come up against a AN immortal mob, ive had to log out and reset the area a few times.

All in all from a Casuals point of view the need to tinker with the rates ever so slightly be it from vendor shards or just flat currency when playing even if that just means transmutes i`d be happier

Up to Act 7.

This is PoE as I want to play it, and I have no complaints except that I wish there was some reason to run Ruthless Sanctums. Particularly, it would be nice not to have to pick coins up in level 1 long before there seems to be any chance of meeting the merchant.

I understand that this is a Ruthless-specific problem.

Probably an obvious question, but do you just play with no loot filter at all, or does it feel like you could eventually get to a point where you would need one?
