Anyone playing Ruthless - opinions so far?

Neversink's Filter works well.
It's fun! Level 36 hardcore ruthless. I wouldn't compare it to 2012-13 poe because it was harder that time. You didn't have added spell dmg on items etc, which boosts your dmg ALOT. I dropped doedre's tenure in fellshrine runs and 2x high added spell damage scepters, running totems and love it. It is usable in sanctum as well and I'm noticing barelly any difference in dmg compared to normal league so far.
It is fresh, it is challenging and you have to be careful alot. Exactly those things I loved in old Poe!

79 raider in Ruthless trade league. Just selling items and no buying for now. Having a very good time with it :) The fatigue of sustaining maps will eventually get to me but for now I have had more fun than the 8 last leagues combined :P I much much prefer opt-in challenge over getting forced into the previous AN shenanigans.

As example:

I can still chill farm white tier maps to my heart's content without running into a rare mob that completely counters my build. Having that experience along with loot scarcity where almost every rare can be an upgrade to me or someone I know feels amazing! Heck I even play a build I have never tried before. It might not be viable for end content but since loot in every map matters it doesn't discourage me from playing.
Ruthless was invented 20+ years ago. It’s called D2. Ruthless should become standard difficulty in PoE instead of the current zoom zoom rave 1shot screen junk raining blitz it is.
I do hope they tweek it a bit. The "new" is going to wear off soon. They've removed a lot of good with the bad.
Lv 75 HCSSF Ruthless here, and still very good!

I wish they make a normal ruthless after this league (no temp-league), after playing this mode i can't go to normal HCSSF anymore, for my taste is much much better playing in this way.

Other wish is, in the future, adding in some hard way the last two points of the ascendancy.

Is too soon for any other opinions, i've just reached the maps, need to see the balance of the other contents.

BTW, for now, the Sanctuary don't drop anything, i still try, reached the 4th floor, but drops are only from rare/unique enemy, not for the "boons" itself that offer something like a single trasmutation orb for an entire floor, but is ok, the league is just started, GGG need time for balancing all the things.

Good work for the Ruthless mode GGG, is a very good gems added to this game, i wish to have forever a mode like this, for PoE1 and PoE 2.

I'd love to hear about the high-end balance there.

What worries me is that most, if not all, pinnacle and other boss encounters are designed for players packing a high move speed and travel skill. Without these, I wonder if some fights are even winnable.

I'm having fun so far. Level 38 in Act 4, not sure how far I'll go or how often I'll play it. But having fun for now.

It wasn't much fun getting through Act 1 but it's gotten better. Being at the mercy of drops for gems means one has to be very creative on the build being played. The skill tree becomes much more critical than normal PoE. I agree the crafting bench should be usable. Maybe reducing just the options or something?
