Uber bosses needs more phases to prevent glass cannon builds killing them instantly
No one is here to see awesome fights phases or mechs anyways they are here to kill the boss as fast as possible without dying
Uber bosses basically 1 shot you (or atleast did both chars ive tried one on) so the faster you kill them the better I dont think they can make these fights better without redoing mob damage and maybe player damage so you cant just instantly die... most games the bosses dont instantly kill you so you have time to heal and whatever And even if defenses did work and they didnt 1 shot you you would still opt for damage so they would die faster |

the fact that gazillion dps builds are possible is because the damage mechanics in the game are badly broken, or are they ?
however, GGG has taken the strategy of simply making bosses that take 2 gazillion dps the strategy. and when the nerfs come they necessarily hurt casual players more than the 5 mirrors a league players. i think part of the reason is that the mechanics are simply too complex at this point to have any meaningful control anymore. so you have things like invulnerability phases which are just the worst kind of "we give up" mechanics. more importantly, it must be profitable in some way for GGG to allow broken builds to exist. |

Can someone link me one of these builds that lazers everything in one hit, that DOESN'T include ANY high end expensive items. You gotta work to get to that point. So i don't see any problem with them one shotting bosses if they put in the work to get to that point.
There are a metric TON of builds that claim to have giga dps unkillable blah blah blah but there always wearing one two or even more insanely rolled expensive items "claiming" it's not needed. Yet removing it in there POB dumpster fires the dps. Putting phases in just removes any enjoyment out of getting a dps upgrade period. Then it just becomes a game of hitting the perfect dps and needing nothing more because it would be wasted on invul phase. If you wanna run mechanics look up any Quin69 build and copy paste your tanky self into boss mechanic heaven. |

What? this is still going?.. but why?
Anyway.. Blame the 6 portal design for people choosing dps over anything else.. it puts so much pressure on most players that after 28 maps or finding 4 guardian/elderslayer maps randomly people clearly dont want to fail it.. regardless not sure why this thread is still going, anyone that knows uber endgame bosses are bullet hell dodge, huge aoe or degen spam on the floor limited to 6 portals only just to get most of the time trash. "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure." Once you break the cycle of fear no angels or demons can whisper you their sweet nothing words. poe0.2/10. Nuff said. invuln phases are bad. But when the DPS from players can vary from 1 million to hundreds of millions its just kinda necessary. Its a DPS balance issue.
If a top top end char can do 10 million while a good char can do 2 million its only 5x the dps which is still a lot. But its not a ridiculous 100x the damage. But it would be feasible to give the bosses appropriate amount of health with that amount of swings of dps. |

In a game where the whole point is to make your character as DPS heavy as possible, invul anything is terrible. If you can get to the point where you insta kill main bosses, you should be rewarded with quick kills, not standing around waiting for invulnerable phases to end.

If you want to see mechanics, just play a minion build. They've been nerfed so much they are utter trash.
