Top 10 WTF features of POE 2 that I cannot believe we dont have in a game in 2025

1. WTF is with the inventory being so small? Wasnt fun in 1999, still not fun today.
2. WTF is with the lack of an auto-sorting button for inventory and bank tabs?
3. WTF is with the lack of auto-picking up of currency items and shards?
4. WTF is with the fact that the only deterministic crafting options are walled behind only a specific activity (omens/ritual)?
5. WTF is with the concept of one-try per map and the 4-way punishment of death in endgame?
6. WTF is the deal with the salvage bench? why isnt it function just imported in disenchant?
7. WTF do we still need to identify items in town and not have them dropped with visible stats so we can actually have working item filters? Also wasnt fun in 1999, still isnt.
8. WTF we dont have a dps dummy?
9. WTF I still have to run back and forth from map to hideout 2-3 times in a single map in order to do basic functions like disenchant or sell?
10. WTF we cannot pin a location to the world atlas in order to revisit?

While I generally agree with most of what you wrote, this one made me chuckle.

They know. They absolutely know. I'm sure at least 9 out of 10 items on your list are fully intended. GGG never cared much for QOL, and 1999 features... well, if this new game proves anything, it's that their infatuation with Diablo 2 is a lasting obsession. If anything, they made a few steps from modern PoE1 back into early 2000's (your points 4,5 and 6 in particular).

While I agree that outdated mechanics are weighting the game down, I wouldn't expect them to make any major changes, especially not based on forum feedback.
I recently came to the realization that GGG is just like Cipsoft and work on PoE the same way Cipsoft worked on Tibia.

They know, they have examples of good ideas and design choices, they just don't want to act on them for some reason.

Ultimately, they may be wrong, they may be right. It's their game, their choices and they are the ones who will be the most impacted by the consequences, be them good or bad.

It sounds like you're looking for a different game. Why not find that game and play it?

In my initial excitement, just 10 minutes into playing the game, I bought a supporter pack as a way of saying thank you. Now that I’ve realized POE2 is just a stripped-down version of POE1, I regret that decision. I won’t be spending anything more until the game meets today’s standards. What was acceptable in an older game like POE1 doesn’t cut it in a modern title—at least not for me.

Just tried Last Epoch for the first time. Ticks all the boxes (and many more).
