why we need die mechanics even just delete it completely, allow people to try completing the same map.

Wow these comments... A lot of people vibe more with death having consequences, and a lot of people don't. Luckily for the people who don't, PoE 1, D4, LE, and every other ARPG in the space already exist. Not every game needs to be designed for the same audience.

This is a nice clarification from the announcement. Tying portals to remaining deaths available in a given map is a good change. This alone makes playing 0.2 worthwhile for me since I was already at 3 endgame characters in 0.1 and got tired of only having 1 portal to use.
In addition, this change differentiates PoE2 from PoE1's limited portal regardless of deaths in a meaningful way. It is already easing the minds of the people that I play with on PoE2 and encouraging them to give it a go.
