Ziz interview
" I don't think his "Vision" (God, I hate to use that word now) is failed at all. Ofc the patch was a bit scuffed, especially in the early game, but the general concept works very good. As it did in 0.1. And there are a LOT of people really liking the way they want to design the game. Me included. Just because a few salty PoE 1 veterans are really loud on social media does not mean that no one is liking the core design of the game. |

Personally, i am LOVING this patch. I havent once looked at a "build guide" and I am just making, in my mind, what a Javazon should have been in d2 and rocking enemies. I feel powerful and I feel engaged in fights. Bosses could maybe use a little tuning and it would be nice to see party members resurrect a little faster in fights to cut down on the "sitting around time" if you make a mistake and have to sit and watch your buddy... but overall, it feels great (so far).

Oh no, people don't want to see game designer saying no to biased interviewers, what a shame. Jonathan did just fine...sure he looked serious and said "no" (and for good reasons). You guys won't change PoE2 into PoE1, not gonna happen.

Of course he's resisting.
The loud voices are all screaming for: 1) Add defences so you can never die 2) Add damage so you can oneshot a whole screen of monsters with one click 3) Add speed so you can finish maps in 5 seconds 4) Remove monster speed so they can never touch you 5) Remove any other friction the player has All of which will make it a very dull game. No skill, no challenge, just copy a buildguide. Chris tried to make PoE1 better, with general changes, then with Ruthless. But met with nothing but backlash. No wonder he gave up. |

I think zizaran was VERY disingenuous about the movement speed topic...zizaran said that he likes to kill monsters...how much monsters do these players kill in acts 1 to 3 even later in poe1? and zizaran had said several times he actually doesnt care or wont do stuff on behalf of casual players...all he does is from a "streamer" perpective because thats how he makes money, the video about the LE delay made it from his perspective, casual players wont have any impact in those 2 releasing the same day
and jonathan was right the more speed you give to the player or the slower the monsters combat becomes unnecesary, optional and even HAMRFUL because everyone wants to hit end game ASAP (zizaran and jonathan knows this very well) sorry for bad english :S Последняя редакция: Behrial#3262. Well I agree with Jon. Even at launch I never had issues with respec costs. I do it freely. I can’t understand how people are having issues with it.
Issue is people not gendering trash or disenchanting correctly. I haven’t played HCSSF this patch but last league leveling my HCSSF to maps I did have issues finding regals in campaign that are importance. Jon from a SC trade league wouldn’t find it an issue HCSSF view point VS SC trade view point is way different |

" There is the part of movement speed for the size of the zone. If it feels like you are running forever just to backtrack to a missed boss it is an annoyance. So if they give the player 10% or whatever they could add the same to monsters. |

" This. Thank you my friend, same here. I wish more companies have leadership as bold as Jonathan and Mark that can to stick to their vision instead of the marketing analysis one. I paid for this game for this reason also. |

" and that is why he said the problem is not the speed, but the layouts and size of the maps. A player should almost never have to backtrack more than a few dozen meters. |

This is the reality. In the 10+ years I been playing PoE, there has never been such a negative response to any update. So you guys cupping Jonathan's balls, telling him everything is fine, and go with the plan, are actually doing irreparable damage to the game and the future of the franchise. "There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die. " ~ Hunter S Thompson ~
