XP LOSS - I actually have a good suggestion
" You mean all those 95-97 people are just dying every 2 maps and this is the reason they cannot catch up to the T W O 100s and the F I V E 99s? I mean he has a point that I already pointed out earlier in the thread. If any the xp curve is the problem. I didn't die once last season between 93 and 95,5 and it still took forever (not counting bossing sessions right after). I died 3 times from 89 to 93 this season with pretty random gear. Don't want to say I am that awesome but I can almost guarantee you all the people can count the deaths they had level 95+ if any and still don't manage level 100. It is not supposed for players to get 100 unless they are exceptional and have plenty of time. And for that everything in between 90 and 100 should already be seen as an achievement like high paragonnumbers or something like that. |

" I don't doubt that at all, especially considering that when discussing XP loss the people in favor of it are always so concerned about how players other than themselves should be enjoying the game and progressing. They like to tell me that lvl 90 is all I need and that I should feel the punishment for dying once every 10 maps, as if they are the arbiters of how I am supposed to enjoy my game. " Not really. This is an argument of people that want to keep the system in the game. The rest of us are making the opposite argument. Even with the system removed almost nobody will reach 100, as it is now. We just won't have our farm taken away from us on death. It is simply a waste-my-time system. |

What about an omen, that can be applied once in an instance - that gave you say an extra 20-25% exp - then it would be a trade off between using the omen that saves you 75%exp on death or gamble to gain exp faster - I think it’s a fairer trade off?

Better yet: No XP loss. We already lose our TIME and the entire MAP, and then to stack more penalties? Gross.

Heres an Idea, hey GGG make a purchasable insta lvl 100 omen for $50 in the shop, i bet they will make bank of it for sure. I want to see that flame feedback on that if they decide to do that.

" This obsession with arguing over lvl 100 must be some kind of thinking dissonance. They can ramp up the experience needed even further if that really is a worry for people. We are talking about experience LOSS. That is the part that we want removed. Not how easy lvl 100 is. Remove experience loss. Stop derailing the conversation please. |

I can PLAN my time and reach 100 while playing ALL THE LEAGUE instead of quitting after 3 weeks coz my progress get stolen from me all the time. Heck maybe i dont reach 100 ... but guess what? I just commented a fact ("most people have no idea how bad is XP gain reduction for the last levels") plus a personal feeling ("I really doubt that someone who can't handle current XP loss on death would have enough knowledge to reach lvl 100 in a reasonable time"). No argument in there. As I already said, I don't really care about how they handle XP loss. Anyway, it is a PVE game-as-service, so it is 100% sure that there will be some long time grinding system. Even if they get ride of XP penalty on death or that huge reduction on XP gain on the last levels, they would jsut add some other grinding on endgame and people would still have something to complain about on forum. |
