White monsters should not be a threat(with high investments in gear defense wise)

white mobs drop tablets, maps, gold, they just don't have big rarity modifiers

They also give XP

they're not completely valueless

i dont want engage in fight with white mobs with 100d build invested primary in defense, i dont want engage in fight with white mobs if i invest few thousands divines in build, if you do not become stronger to mitigate most annoying aspects of the game - there is no reason for playing, there is no problem to engage with white mobs when your build is trash. Poe provide challenge which you overcome and as your build progress its easier and easier to play, and like after 1 month grinding player should be able to run on autopilot, if he couldnt - there is no healthy progression
ES recharge start cannot get to 0 so if you are being hit by mobs faster than your recharge start you will eventually die, yes

It's the downside of ES, it does have one and is a reason why not every single build in the game runs full ES

If you stack enough life and life regen underneath it you will probably become immortal to white mobs, not sure if there's enough of that in the game but I've seen videos of people facetanking pinnacle bosses so probably is the way to go

* Or high stack evasion, then the misses will probably give you enough space to start recharge

Well, he's living it. He stood 5 seconds in a 3-4 pack of mobs before dying didn't he? Why include the mobs at all then if they shouldn't do any damage? Ask GGG to remove the mobs and create a rare or boss rush game. It's mind boggling how people are actually complaining that they have to play their game. Hope GGG does not get discouraged by the negativity on the forums because "feedback" like this is just crazy talk.

If you've invested 100 divs into your build your "engagement" with white mobs ammounts to pressing a single button. And it did get easier did it not? You stood in a pack of mobs doing jack all for 5 seconds before dying. Without the gear, you would've died immediately. Honestly, you're complaining for the sake of complaining because it's popular at the moment.

true, smith of kitave with 90 res and bunch of armour - immune to white monsters(on non-modded map), he balanced good defense wise, but every build should be able to show same performance, builds at the top of tree should be able to regen es or force es recharge on block/suppress/or just have more ways to mitigate damage of mobs(with insane investments), so they kill you not in 5 sec - in 20-30 seconds, there is just no way to do it, the only way you can try is take eternal youth, fix your life as low life(lich), take life flask with 100% more life recovered while on low life and take some sources of flask life recovery from the tree, if i would do all of that, im not sure i would over recover white mobs dps, it would give me around 2k es recovery per second, maybe if i would run blasphemy+enfeeble+temp chains it would help a lot too, but why making so much build defining decisions JUST TO MAKE GAME FEEL GOOD agains white monsters... which will drop nothing at the end.

there should be more simple way to build defense against white mobs for es type characters

yes and this is trash design, i invested a lot of currency in defense and got no results in return, imagine playing game where you building character for months and after you can meet water hug, or just do not pay attention for 5-10 second in few packs of white mobs and you lose all what you spent time on, sounds like FUN))))))))))))))))))) you type of player who kills poe, you dont even have listings on HC, you play worst unfan trash game mod (softcore trade) and think your opinion on anything matters XD??

Full ES is super strong but needs manual mitigation (avoid getting hit long enough to allow for recharge), even in poe1 I'm not sure what passive was strong enough to allow you to stand there doing absolutely nothing forever, instant leech still needed you to hit something

* Oh yes, aegis aurora, but then, if you get block chance up high enough then that would also give you enough mitigation to allow for recharge unless you're getting hit by every mob in the game at once

** My recharge/s is 4k against 12k ES
