Merchant tab is NOT an upgrade.

Honestly they needed to put a limit on how many merchant tabs you can have for now, like 4 or 6 tops. As its a new system. A sort of failsafe to not allow players to brick their stash.

they need to make sure campaign play remains balanced and you're just not trading your early currency for gear to blast thru the game. Locking the vendor after campaign is totally fine.

This is a fair point, even though you can still use the browser market. That does of course introduce the friction to it though.

in act 1-3 you are in no position, to have things to sell on a vast majority level, that anyone wants.

I have sold plenty of things over the first couple of weeks despite only just starting the Interlude. There are players who play less, started later, or made new characters but don't have any good twink gear.

The latter have even given me more than I asked for because they said it was worth more. One gave me an additional Exalt and another gave a Perfect Aug when I only asked for a normal one.

So yes I am selling a few bits & pieces to supplement my income. I'm not big on trade though and only put the stuff that is good for its level, and I set prices low. I prefer to craft and have only bought 2-3 items.

a 'couple of weeks' doesnt exactly... pinpoint... details. as after a couple of weeks... the playerbase has dropped significantly.. like, 30% or more... based on public knowledge.

if you just wanted another tab for storage, you can buy the regular tabs, which is what the regular tabs purpose is. extra storage.

If you want them all to look the same and are OK trying to remember what number corresponds to what type of items, sure. But I found that to suck bigtime.

No, because

1. There were a dozen or so not memorable items which I didn't have any reason to record. Sold for a mixture of Augs, Regals and Exalts. Plus 1 Greater Aug someone gave me because apparently the item was worth more than I priced it, in their opinion.

2. This isn't some court of law where I need to justify my comments to you.

If you don't care or don't want to believe me, that's fine but there's little point engaging with someone who refuses to take my descriptions of my experience so far in good faith.

I see why others have declined to engage with you further.

I personally never used premium tabs to store things. I just kept a few standard tabs to store my own stuff.

Not sure if you could both store things and sell things from the same premium tab. If you make a premium tab public then you start getting spam for your unpriced items like "offer 5ex". Hence I purely used premium tabs for selling.

Same for me, I also find it worth to pay the little extra for color coding and naming, even if it was with 0 accessibility to the market.

Totally understandable there's use cases like yours but that doesn't take away from the people preferring to use the tabs for storage as well.

While I disagree with Innuendos hostile rhetoric you weren't far from his volatility. It seems like you also had a target or even two in mind.

On multiple occasions your statements about the GGG not providing certain information during the "upgrade" process and thus being "unethical" are patently false. I don't want to repeat myself but if you want you can read my earlier posts where I directly quote the warnings and instructions that are clearly provided by GGG during the conversion process. Or you could enter the Merchant's Tab Upgrade menu and read them yourself where they were present from at least the 3rd day (most likely from the day 1 but I did not see it with my own eyes so I have no way of confirming it) of the patch launch and are still there as of me posting this message.

While I don't think that defending DevourerAdol from personal attacks is a bad thing (especially if done in a measured manner) I believe that throwing unsubstantiated accusations at the very entity he is trying to appeal to ultimately distorts his message. In my opinion it is detrimental to his cause and may attract even more unwanted engagement.

I understand that in the heat of the moment during a vigorous discussion things can become blurry but it is important to reflect and possibly retract wrong statements.

The warnings and information was there and even in a proper location. It was not perfect an missed a few niche details (and DevourerAdol is correct in pointing those out) but it was pretty clear on the most major "complaints" that people are having. It also was not so unclear or misleading to the point of suspecting unethical practices.
Still it was clearly not enough since multiple people did make a mistake and felt they were not warned enough so GGG should make some adjustments to the process but listing false complaints can only make it harder/less relevant to them.
