Druid ascedancies have 0 synergy with shapeshifting and wolves

i mean.. Yes.. any class can shapeshift - but that's not issue and why i created this topic.
Issue is - classes are so generic and doesn't fit class fantasy - instead of getting companion/summon build which is core of the druid .. we get boring Prophet - and prophet mean we will get only one class on druid. which mean last class is or shapeshift focused or minion focused or both mixed and nothing special more specialization oriented there will be no wildheart shapeshifting or summoner class. One of them - Prophet is so generic and nothing connected to druid fantasy. It's an issue - as everyone wanted summon and wildheart asc Последняя редакция: saashaa#5518. So according to some(maybe just one i cant remember) people in here, they think its a good idea to hype up shapeshifting druid for years. Then tell us its coming after delaying it over and over. Then IF they were planning on having a shapeshifting ascendancy. To not launch it because people would want to play it??????????????????
What is even going on in here. What goes on in you guys heads. The ascendancies they showed us so far cant be how they launch. I think they have to be place holders. Who would make a druid, add shapeshifting then the only interesting support you add to it is trying to force you to use spells and attack damage. Without getting a node that gives a "crown of eyes" like modifier to make scaling 2 kinds of damage make sense. |

So, people want a exclusive skill that would limit the number of skill you can play with a certain best that would do only and only one thing when you transform. With how poe2 work, the shapeshifting skill will be under the new weapon tab meaning we will have a tons of skill to play with instead of a skill that transform you into a certain best.
If you compare it to demon transformation that is literally just a buff with limitation. It not the same thing. We also don't know 90% of what the other ascendency does, there also way to play around rage as it scale both attack and magic with the other class. Rage can be applies to allies too, so you can have you wolf summon have rage. Maybe the last ascendency will have more focus on the shapeshifting ability but right now we might have a lot of bonus in the tree or in other form. If the transformation was limited to the druid itself, you would have 1 ability that transform you into a beast that give you some sort of buff and ...that it ? Tying it up to ascendency doesn't make sense as it would be weird to get a whole arsenal of skill from ascendency while they are usually build defining skill. So the fact it link to a weapon and you have a tons of gems to try instead of just transforming into a beast for buff... Make it a lot more fun in my opinion and make weapon swap even more interesting to build around. At the end, have fun with the new thing instead of being sad about what you didn't have and wait for the full patch note and try it before you claim it dead before you even try it. |

There needs to be a very specialized Shapeshifting Ascendancy for the druid that enhances the forms beyond what others can do from just using the talismans. Otherwise there was really no reason to even name the druid the druid.

" Same. I prefer it this way. It adds more diversity and build options without having to start over on a new class. It also gives players more options when creating a character. If Druid was the hands down best class at shapeshifting, then everyone would be forced to play Druid if they wanted to be a shapeshifter. And that's lame. |
|
" This 100% Not having a shapeshifting ascendancy is just a troll. Having one and not launching with a druid (if this is the case) that was showcased as a shapeshifter over and over and over is also a troll. |

It's really weird that people don't know the passive tree can be different based on the class.... Shapeshifting stuff will most likely be part of the druids tree. It will work just like minions do for witch. All the node are in the same places but look at the spell dmg nodes coming from int class starter spot. For witch it's 8% spell/minion dmg. For everyone else it's just flat spell dmg, this doesn't stop other classes from having minions. Keystones change as well depending on the class, witch has jagged shards, power of the dead, and entropy in that group coming from the start but the options are different for other classes(affliction enforcer, elemental force, principle infusion)

|
" Those aren't keystones, they're notables. People know this, its really just not that impactful. |
|
" Whatever they're called doesn't really matter, but just from those 10 nodes you'd be taking anyway to move out that other classes don't have access to is 104% increased minion dmg. |

Even if they had shapeshifted damage that wouldn't really matter anyways. If you're being driven down the road of scaling attacks and spells you will want something like elemental, fire, or cold damage nodes and not spell or attack damage.
Also don't act like everyone is stupid but you and then be wrong. But we truly don't really know what the ascendancies look like yet. I have 0 faith based on the road they were going down. Spells + shapeshifting is the parry + amazon. Or slow attacking on warrior. Its going to be pushed to death and if you don't do it right, you're doing it wrong.
