Druid ascedancies have 0 synergy with shapeshifting and wolves

We can't even see all the nodes yet and we don't have access to the updated passive tree. Those ascendancy pictures may change drastically too for all we know. If you want to follow your favourite youtuber down the path of non-druid go for it, but it only really makes sense if you actually like other classes more on your own.
Personally I will wait and see how the druid actually turns out, I've played all the other classes and wanna try something different.

Has nothing to do with youtubers. It has nothing to do with liking classes if it makes more sense to be a different ascendancy.

Like i said though. We dont know for sure how the tree is. BUT, if that picture gets leaked and nobody complains. They may just assume it looks fine and lets it roll through with nothing exciting for shapeshifting.

If it is changed drastically it could very well be the animosity from the community that made them rethink it.

I just went and re-read their descriptions of the 2 ascendancies

Ascendancy: The Shaman

The Shaman channels nature’s fury, harnessing Rage to empower his Spells and becoming a walking natural disaster raining down Meteors, Lightning, and Ice.

Ascendancy: The Oracle

The Oracle has perfected the power of Foresight, using it in combat to gain a massive advantage by peering into the future to predict a monster's movements and even allocate passives from alternate timelines!

What in these descriptions have to do with shapeshifting. Theyre just spellcasters. Admittedly oracle looks a little more less obvious what its supposed to do but it certainly doesnt say something like.

"Maul your foes as a bear and rain down and armagedden of fire"

Or something i would expect an ascendancy to do based on the shit they did with the bear for the longest time when they showed bear to us.

It was a clear bait and switch at least at this point from a marketing perspective.

They show us bear melee.

Release spell caster druids. with bear/wyvern/wolf form weapons.

If there is no real shapeshifter psynergy added into the game then they lied to us in a way. They may have given us druid. But they haven't really given us the druid that they were showcasing (at least the play footage i was watching)

It would be like showcasing a sabateur throwing traps for 3 years and everyone being excited and they release poison dagger assassin. Then think to themselves. "we fulfilled that promise"

It's quite literally how POE works. It wouldn't make sense for them to lock transformation to only one class. All classes/ascendancies have access to all weapons/skills. That's a core part of POE's design.

So why is blood mage the only ascendancy or class that can change to demon form?

The generic ascedancies that can be everything is wrong aproach to poe 2 - we have poe 1 to this.

POE 2 ascedancies should be more specific, thematic.
wolf and bear are already so limiting by converting all skills to one type of element and if you want another on bear - you already forced for second thing - a specific forced unique. Bear have only fire and wolf have only ice.

If you look at stream - you see most of the nodes. For example - all fire skills have fire and having "lightning" on fire icon is not going to happen.
Most of nodes are known - as well for prophet as have known for us icons and only few are unknown. Only small majority of them are not.
But it's not about the tree but generic ascedancies - which is different topic - as it limit build diversity more than actual aproach to the skills and it's conversion.
Tree have nothing to druid as every class can reach this part of tree - and issue with prophet tree is the fact -you allocate points for them that you can anyway allocate for power in actual tree in another spot. So the power +/- is washed from this even with stronger nodes.

I already cooked up an invoker werewolf and acolyte of chayula werewolf builds that will 1000% do more damage than anything they release lol.

Druid NEEDS A VERY SPECIALIZED SHAPESHIFTING ASCENDENCY otherwise youll see build after build outpace the druid at what is literally supposed to be its core strength.

and as a second comment streamers already cooked up bear builds for warriors ascendancies

Demon form is not blood mage either. Its infernalist



The transformation only gives you additive buff of base damage. No unique abilities or skills.
