People have car alarms, people have alarms on their windows and doors. Does this make them 100% theft proof. NO. Shit still gets stolen. Is it their fault? Should they have had guard dogs? Or maybe a 12 foot barbed wire fence? Maybe killer robots? My point is, shit happens, regardless of how well prepared you are. The difference in the real world is that we can buy insurance. Our stuff may never come back, but we get a little something back. In PoE there is no insurance, it's hardcore after all. But because we have no insurance I humbly request that GGG does all they can to protect me in the first place (and I do believe they are trying) and I will do all I can. To say "to hell with the people that lost their stuff" is, in my opinion, ridiculous. You believe yourself to be safe, just like the rich guy with guard dogs and killer robots. You believe you belong here because you took precautions some others didn't. Good for you, but you have no more right to be here than anyone else. Dogs sleep, robots malfunction, and your security is never 100% secure. IF you got hacked would you voluntarily quit? Because by your own admission you wouldn't belong here. No, you wouldn't. And I would never tell you that you should. All you should do is learn from it and go forward. That's all any of us can do, because our shit is uninsured and we must go on with our miserable exiled existence. I can see your / Back is turned and / If I could I'd / Stick my knife in.

Also, make sure you don't have a Remote Access Tool installed. They can take screenshots, and use your webcam to see if you're not near or using the pc, and then they can simply look up your saved passwords when you're asleep.
Just like KLs, custom made ones can slip through commercial security software undetected. So make sure your firewall also has a whitelist of some sort, DNS protection, etc. Your AV has some sort of heuristic detection. Also, look up Kripp's most-most-most useful video he has posted a few months back about using 300 long character passwords. The thing is if the password gets too long, you won't be able to long in the game or the website. Some hash issue/bug. Goood security measure:
BECAUSE you should be playing with people you know in real life ;) keep some of your in-game currency with them as a contingency plan. Or on another account. Security compromise is a reality, but coming up with a security solution vs ease of use is a balancing act. MCAussie MCServer. MCWin.
