And? Bosses are supposed to be hard. If you could facetank every boss - where would be the challenge or the hard part in PoE?
Shavronnes, dream fragments, void battery, lori lantern, chayula ... I think GGG tells you to go low life RF sporker, everyone are meant to roll that 1 specc and enjoy 7-10k dps. WHo need other speccs?

You missed the whole point. Bosses are only harder for those builds who had already problems before 0.11.0. Faceroller builds like dual totem still kill everything without any problem. So where is the challenge or the hard part in PoE for them? You should open your eyes and realize that melee maras are inferior to every other class and this patch made it even worse!

It's a matter of simple math. If you don't understand it, that's not my problem. Take any amount of physical damage, add AFD and Hatred, there's now more elemental damage than physical. Then add flat elemental damage from all the various sources of that, add the hundreds of WED you can stack, and add the varius uniques that convert or add elemental damage based on physical. So... you are wrong.


Yep you are correct with the fact, that you can boost your dmg immense by adding ele dmg, which is converted from you phys. But you said there is no build out there, that deals more phys than ele dmg. And here i am. That is what i was referring to.

added fire gives 39% of phys as fire, hatred gives 25%, thats 64% ele damage on top of 100% phys, these 2 do not give you more ele damage than phys damage.

Melee facerolls normal, cruel and most white packs in merc - while beeing tanky. Dual totem builds are weak till late merc. Dual totem builds suck against ele aoe (try to farm docks alone with dual totems ... have fun). I agree they are really good against bosses, but the solo killspeed is quite slow. With totems you either deal no damage or go CI - and well, CI compared to a HP build sucks. There is the hard part here. With totems you usually have mana problems and no life leech / sustain.

My point : Melee sucks against bosses but is better (as solo player) in almost everything else - defense, damage/killspeed, mana/life management and sustain.

Actually melee didn't suck against bosses due to high hp and usage of armor/blind.But now it does even to bosses.Melee sucked to hard ele hitters in groups,ranged heavy hitters in groups,chaos and especially ranged chaos creeps.Now it's even worse.Btw not all build a melee character around armor,some run pure eva/dodge with high HP stacks.As I said in a previous post,these one may simply strip off their equipment and delete.

I still think they should have added a short term monster damage debuff on hit with melee phys. I don't see these changes really helping melee that much, they got a damage boost, thats the only way theyve really changed relative to ranged classes s far as I can see, and the damage was never the issue, the issue was spamming gmp lightning arrow through a doorway way a lot safer than leapslamming into a room packed with extra phys damage aura monsters and taking them on at point blank, and thats still the case surely.

Ok, It's a double NERF for melee: 1 lost 2K Life on my melee... 2 lost regen... and no buffs for armour (yes 1-2% cant be buff) + now melee cant have normal resist (got nerfed max res).
Then i try my witch and check my DPS from all spells -> +10 or +15 DMG (Not a % or DPS, just DMG), BUT remember ES got nerfed too and i los near half my ES... so for NOT CI builds its bigger nerf: Less ES + Less Life + Less Max res.

Hey, but mobs got nerfed too! Like 1-2% less dmg they do. Now what we have: we lost 2-4K Life + Regen and Less Max res (vs ele dmg) + if you need ES now Less ES too, total TONS surv and now 1-2% less dmg from mobs :D I think balanced :D :D :D

Buffs for melee i check and calc: not so big. EK still OP as ever, Spark still very fast clear all maps + FP now harder to oneshot boss, but still easy. So it's just nerf all possible ways to surv. Melee still hard and bad for new players and most builds still useless.

IMHO but it's not so great patch as i think. Most skill gem need a lot of buff and most popular builds MUST be nerfed a lot more (bcs they still OP vs other gems and builds) + need fix for drop rate maps -> i hate start play 10-18 maps and come with 3-5 maps or less and some times less level :`(

And after start new league HC and Standart will lost a lot players and impossible to trade or play :`(
Not sure, but now it's harder to play on map's with high IQ roll on map bcs now it's easy kill and its not irony, now with low res low hp low regen mobs can 2-3 hit me (test).
