Charms, Shrines, Treasure Goblins, Trap Chests, Dynamic Events ect & OB Launch
" If treasure goblins aren't going to happen then I am more than happy to support this idea. I'm not sure exactly how this would work but finding a key to a locked chest in a particular dungeon sounds awesome. I'm not sure if they key should always be available to find or if there is only a chance of getting it. Standard Forever

" In my opinion, that's something that makes PoE stand out and proudly apart from other ARPG's. I'm not playing those 'other games' for a reason. However, I understand your point, but to take an idea as blatant as Treasure Goblins (you see that's not a very popular idea so far) from another game just isn't good. I'd be much more amiable to new features that were inspired by features of other games, but they would have to be pretty far removed and tweaked from the original mechanic so that it is unique and its own new feature here at PoE. Years from now, people would be complaining on some 'new and improved ARPG' that's coming out saying, 'Why don't you have this or that, from PoE!' I have more battle scars than the number of hairs on your ass!

My only suggestion would be for Wealth Mod adds to have something special about them. I know some people can probably read all the tiny letters under the name while they are fighting, to see the mods a mob has but i cannot, and am sure i am not the only one who cannot. Make the Wealth mods bigger and Shining gold or some such, so that you can see them from far away - get your heart pumping and excited to kill it, they are so very rare they should be special all around. Not be left with the giant WTF just happened when it dies and the loot explodes everywhere. Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with loot going everywhere, there was just no excitement while killing it because i did not know it was any different from any other mob. My eye sight isn't the best, i have issues seeing the small things in the game, the letters combined with the background are pretty much impossible for me to read while fighting.

" No one else went bug-eyed over this suggestion? It's really awesome and would fit into the UI extremely well. You hit a shrine and you see the mods added in the upper-right of the screen ("Enemies do 88% more damage as fire","Area drops 20% more items"). As for OP, charms and goblins sound horrible. Covert has the best shrine suggestion aside from the unique "shrine" endgame area suggested heavily in the suggestion subforum. Trap chests and dynamic events, hell yeah. |

I like the shrines and dynamic events.
For treasure, I think they just need the wealth mod to be more common and more visible. I'm talking blinged-out Rhoas sipping Dom Perignon while making it rain orbs. |

As it has already been said, Shrines will be in the game.

" *emphasis mine I have never knowingly killed a wealth mob. In retrospect, I think I might have killed a few, but I'm very much guessing. The wow factor on Wealth mobs would be much higher if they stood out a LOT more. In a very grind heavy game the death penalty equates to...more grinding.

Charms are bad design. Worst part of Diablo 2 expansion by far. They are fun to play with in the expansion, but they have a whole lot of negative consequences as well. Inventory space, gear progression, balance, etc. Inventory space alone makes them bad design.
They could just add charms that you can put in your belt instead of flasks or something. That would probably fit with the theme and not add yet-another equipment piece. It also brings the significant drawback of having less flasks. Somehow being able to make a single support gem "global" for your character would be cool too, but I'm not sure how to explore the design space of that idea. The passives already do it to an extent, but I mean taking a literal support gem and doing something with it so it becomes part of your character (until you switch it out). You could have a "support charm" with a single open socket that you can put in your belt. But it pretty much creates the equivalent of a 7-link when you have a 6 link. Meaning it could be "required" or crazy overpowered without a significant drawback. Anyway, that is just a random dumb idea that probably shouldn't be explored. I've never seen events done well either. I don't see how it could be done well. I mean I guess there is an added level of immersion if some monsters break out of a cave wall or zombies decide to swarm because you opened a chest or knocked over an altar, that'd be cool, but extensively scripted events just remind me of Diablo 3 which did events all wrong for a game type you are supposed to repetitively play. Shrines (or something similar, maybe a form of currency, map, or cash shop item) forcing random map mods/monster levels on existing zones in the acts would be ridiculously cool. If you get something terrible you'd have to reset. They could even add the added danger of it disabling town portals or something if they were feeling frisky. I'm a big fan of persistent end-game, where it exists as a part of the world. PoE's end-game(s) so far are "floaty" and separate. Maelstrom and maps don't actually exist in the world you are playing in. Maps are cool though. I like them a lot. Especially the modifier system. Последняя редакция: worstplayer#1444.
