Plea to devs to address the sexism
" I bet nobody would notice. I doubt I would have even noticed the current art on the globes without a thread like this to draw attention to it. "It's a harsh, difficult world. You have to be prepared for it. We're not babying the players."

" Exactly. They could easily be activists from Femen who had chained themselves to the globes to prevent them from being cut down. Or they could just have ripped off their clothes in an epileptic seizure, so they had to be chained to the globes for their own protection. Sexslaves my bottom! |

" I see what you did there. Ignore the posts which nullify your argument. Then continue the debate by replying to a post you can actually make a point against. Well done? "It's a harsh, difficult world. You have to be prepared for it. We're not babying the players."

" What I did there was making a joke. Which posts are you referring to? Yours, where you say: " My assumption is based on three rockhard pillars: 1.) The women chained to the globes are young and attractive. Yes, both are women. Ever seen hair like that on a man? Yes, I know, there is this guy: ![]() But please, let's not go down that road. 2.) The women are naked. Why are young, attractive women naked? Because it's soooo warm? Because their culture differs from ours? Yes, of course ... 3.) The women are in chains. Please go ahead and give me just one valid reason why these young, attractive, naked women are in chains when they are not supposed to be sexslaves. edit: And no, I don't think the women were used as sexslaves first. I think they are completetly unrelated to any actual lore. Their only purpose is being generic eye-candy. Without any ornaments the globes might look a little naked and since just placing half-naked women there would not quite fit the tone of the game, they were being put in chains. " Sure, mine is the easiest to ignore and repeat what you have already said. " My post did not debate gender of the statues. " Their faces are not shown, you're objectify women based on their body. A statue of an overweight well nourished prisoner would not make much sense. " Your assumptions radiate the very thing you're supposedly upset about. To repeat my previous words, you're implying that the only reason a women could be a slave is for sex. There are young, slender, men and women restrained and tortured throughout this game. The "women" on the HUD however are statues, I suppose they could be covered in blood if you prefer. "It's a harsh, difficult world. You have to be prepared for it. We're not babying the players."

" Maybe for artistic reasons? It's called art " How about, because it is symbolic? "I would have listened... I would have understood!" - Scion

" Not sure I get that. " But others did. " Attractiveness is a blanket term. What would you prefer? "Appealling", "sexy"? Anyway, you're right, a fat guy makes much less sense than a skinny girl. But why not a skinny guy then, with his guts hanging out? " Please tell me where I am "implying" that. Please do tell me any other way to interpret these depictions. You cannot? Then please go and shove your assumptions up where they belong. I know you're fighting the good fight here, but I am strating to lose my patience so here is a little spoiler: I am not upset in the slightest. In fact, I am totally OK with it. If people are not OK with it's their fight, I don't actually give much of a shit. Of course, I never actually said or "implied" that I am upset or offended but who cares, right? Keep on fighting the good fight! @MaxtheLimit: And oh boy, another one. It's not art, it's Kitsch. The kind of generic Kitsch you get on posters for 9.99$ in any Walmart, where half-naked women with big tits fight sabretoothtigers. No offense to the artist, I'm just sure this was never meant to be more than that. And symbolic of what? Besides sex-slaveritism, I mean? |

Jojas - dude, you're ruining it.
Laugh at them and egg them on, and enjoy watching them froth. Don't try to *debate* with them. If they understood enough to understand the point you were trying to make, they wouldn't be having the argument in the first place. |

Are people really debating over the two statues, by the health and mana globe, if they should be kept in the game or not? I mean really? o.O In a game which has 15 foot naked statue monsters, showing; cock, balls and tits, in a varity of colours. Titty firing tentacle women. Jesus, when I've got the time am going to read this thread from start to finish I bet there some real gems in here :P

" LMAO! Amen! Didn't diablo get loads of flack for the angel and demon globes? Sounds like a new coat of paint on an old argument. Besides who actually looks at the figures holding up the health and mana globes when playing? I'm pretty sure I would die if I did. Also if you think about how things where in the past during what would be at least remotely close to the times of this game those types of things were real. Последняя редакция: korn7809#6196.
