My assumption is based on three rockhard pillars:

1.) The women chained to the globes are young and attractive. Yes, both are women. Ever seen hair like that on a man? Yes, I know, there is this guy:



But please, let's not go down that road.

2.) The women are naked. Why are young, attractive women naked? Because it's soooo warm? Because their culture differs from ours? Yes, of course ...

3.) The women are in chains. Please go ahead and give me just one valid reason why these young, attractive, naked women are in chains when they are not supposed to be sexslaves.

edit: And no, I don't think the women were used as sexslaves first. I think they are completetly unrelated to any actual lore. Their only purpose is being generic eye-candy. Without any ornaments the globes might look a little naked and since just placing half-naked women there would not quite fit the tone of the game, they were being put in chains.

I know you're fighting the good fight here, but I am strating to lose my patience so here is a little spoiler: I am not upset in the slightest. In fact, I am totally OK with it. If people are not OK with it's their fight, I don't actually give much of a shit.

Didn't diablo get loads of flack for the angel and demon globes? Sounds like a new coat of paint on an old argument.

Besides who actually looks at the figures holding up the health and mana globes when playing? I'm pretty sure I would die if I did. Also if you think about how things where in the past during what would be at least remotely close to the times of this game those types of things were real.
