Is DESYNC - really - that much of a problem? Really?
Yes, desync makes party play impossible. Soloplay is somewhat viable, but it's very boring and unrewarding.
Hence self found league. But no, that'd be too logical >_> Vote +1 to change Path of Exile to Path of Nerfs.
We hate to say, but ProjectPT was right. |

I actually had to reduce the amount I play due to desync. It's just too much stress having to constantly worry about it. I mean I actually have to weigh the pros vs the cons of trying to progress and just cross my fingers in hopes that I'm not too laggy and desyncy in any particular play session. And parties, if there is a summoner, discharger or anything that causes a lot of lag forget about it, I won't risk playing with them.

" Pretty much this! | |
It's just become the catch-all blanket excuse for anything involving lag, actual desync, game bugs, and complete bullshit. So you hear a lot about it.
Think of how many people unironically cried hacks in the glory days of CS. |

" That being said, yeah it's a problem. Only it's really a bunch of problems that all fall under one category. I clicked on a Merc Fellshrine portal the other day, game hung then crashed and I was in Standard. This isn't desync, but when people start lighting torches and calling bullshit I know how they feel and it's tempting to say I'm right there with you man! even though mine was a separate issue. Yes it a very big issue, to me desync is a problem you find in poorly written low quality games. Desync is akin to rubber banding to me, makes for a really annoying game. It's the kind of thing that destroys a game, because it severely harms a games reputation of quality.

Desync isn't just a huge issue, it is cancer to an action RPG in my honest opinion. It is a big deal, it is the kind of things which makes you not want to play, it is the kind of thing which forces you to play in a different way to accustom it - you can't play in the manner that it won't happen as that is guaranteed death. If de-sync did not exist in PoE, I don't think I could have ever stopped playing it.
It isn't just dying to desync, it is having to play extremely careful, taken 25% damage in hp? Get back and /oos you don't know if that is the real damage. The fact that you can never be sure what is truly happening on the screen forces you to play in a very anti-fun manner. Not just me, but even the top streamers - forget just looking at their desync death, look at the builds they have to play and the style they need to play. Imagine this kind of desync existed in other games you play - SC2, LoL, Dota, it would be completely unplayable - yet it is okay in PoE with the excuse that their are too many calculations and as a result PoE is forced to go by this model. Yes I have read the developers thread on it and I know why they made the decisions, but I am just saying, it is probably the most anti-fun thing about PoE. The gameplay is no longer really what we play PoE for, but rather just to achieve a build. ign KlearSpeed 1.3 Torment - Scion Kinetic Build Guide (HC Viable) http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1146976 Последняя редакция: iMbaQ#2112. " I am merely suggesting stuff that players can do to reduce the impact of desync in their gameplay. You can either stuff it in, learn from it, and reduce the mistakes you make, or not adapt and keep dying and whining on the forums about how desync ruined your game experience. " I do it just fine personally, look at my profile. I have several high level hardcore characters and lost only a level 60 and a level 62 in my lifetime of playing Path of Exile, neither of those to desync. That is, excluding race characters of course. So, you guys... It's pretty much the same way in life. You can either grow from hard experiences, learn from your mistakes and rise as a person, or whine like a baby and cry out loud whenever anything wrong happens. What I'm saying is, there IS a way to circumvent desync and it has to be incorporated into your playstyle. Once you do that, desync becomes pretty much a nonfactor, a slight annoyance that happens a few times a day. Much like a lagspike. IGN: TimeForSpectralThrow / iLikeShockNova
