White sockets and New ''corrupted'' label on teaser blade.

If I was a guessing man, I'd go with corrupted meaning that's it's either bound to the character or bound to the account. Except that they've said that they don't want to do this, so it's less likely that my guess is correct. Perhaps corrupted means you can no longer apply orbs of any kind to it. Dunno.

Something tell me that corrupted give you white socket but in exchange the weapon give u chaos damages per sec once you use it.

It would have listed chaos damage per second.

I'm the lead cynic around here and here's my prediction. It will be one or more of the following:

1) Such a drawback that no one will use it.
2) So rare that no one can use it.
3) So expensive that only the top traders will ever use it.

I think 10% of the player base using it is an over estimate. If it was any easier to obtain/dealwith it will simply become a feature of all items. Every item will become corrupted and have white sockets.

The fleeting hope within me is that this mechanism balances solo/self-found with trading. The only way I can see that happening is if it's BoE.

I think if chrom can roll white., which I think it should.

Then. It will be come very expensive soon. Not less expensive.

Perhaps "corrupted" means that gems can't be removed once put in.

Perhaps it is simply a creative "conceit" used by the writers to add flavor and atmosphere to the new content.

I have no doubts about the speculative powers of game nerds. We are an interesting bunch, to say the least.
