A couple of examples of how the economy is already getting screwed for the majority of players

Personally, I do not care about any 'economy'. I can be corrosive if it becomes the primary focus of a game.

"Good thing they nerfed the carto, it wasn't fun to find one in every map." - Haborym
I think the issue is..people see D2JSP as a form of Pay2win, as aman with backlogs of previous game gear/cash can easily get the best currency/items without any farming whatsoever. Just whip out that credit card and get to work.

I wont say it feels EXACTLY like a d3 RMAH, but......yea its close.

With or without D2jsp this will still be a problem. Someone already posted a link of someone selling something through ebay. It's something people will always have to deal with in any ARPG/MMO and to me it feels like wasted energy to even complain about it.

Sure lets not complain, I mean d2's economy ended up g.....

"Stone of jordans/Zod/Super strong rares or GTFO!" I believe is what it mostly became, yea?

I get that itll happen, and its hard to stop. But on a fledgling economy, this is something that needs to be looked at, ion my opinion at least.
Most people bitching about this are those who have this naive notion that it can be stopped. These threads will continue popping up in online ARPG's forever. It will *never* be stopped.

Eventually you learn to just play the damn game with friends and have fun with it. I don't care if someone is inflating their fake internet electron points. I also don't care if other people are making money off of it. It doesn't affect my enjoyment of the game one bit, nor does it affect anyone who doesn't realize it's going on, nor does it affect the high-end players who are just farming maps all day anyway.

Seems pretty simple to me:

GGG buys a small amount of currency on the forum,

GGG bans whoever sends them in-game currency, and anybody that sent that person in-game currency.

Repeat until real-world transactions are too expensive and too much work to maintain.

This could work and shouldn't be too expensive. You can ban both sellers and buyers this way. Getting sellers would cost GGG some money but getting buyers should be free by seeding D2JSP with fake postings.

Also I'm sure there are mods who would help police the economy that way, so it shouldn't cost anything.

People will soon learn that losing all your chars and your stash is too big of a risk to get couple of orbs.

The buyers and sellers can easily use Mule accounts as this game is f2p

Welcome to an arpg economy. There's only one "solution" and that's bind on pickup. Personally, I'd rather adjust to the realities of the market than deal with a horrible mechanic like binding.

But it's funny, I knew I'd see the exact same posts here as I saw in D3 forums. People who hate trade economies really shouldn't be playing trade-focused games.

Binded items server the purpose of removing items from the economy so that items remain as rare as they are intended to be. Look at the D3 market, where items are NEVER removed from the game unless you break it yourself. Que a freakin huge influx of powerful items that drive prices down, but also drives prices down of lower tier items to the point where it's not worth selling anymore.

But for now, since all currency in PoE is destroyed on use, that should help keep item flooding down to a reasonable level.

Well for those that say Sites like D2jsp don't hurt the game you are simply ignorant or future cheaters. They were a blight on D2 and will be a blight on poe. They were one of the chief sources of bots in D2. I can pretty well say they will be botting here soon if not already. Of course in poe anyone can multibox because you don't even have to BUY 4 accounts. D2jsp will turn this game into a cesspool of bots, hacks, dupes and exploits just as it did in D2 if the developers do not get in front of it NOW.

So don't say d2jsp will help the game. For losers, leeches and the like it may but for the majority of honest players it will ruin the game.

OH BTW welcome to pay to win.
