Stopping at 6, Don't Want Your T-Shirt

Just create forum SWAG as rewards, something like set's of emoticons to be utilized on the forums.

Something small, yet entertaining and with good value since they will be used a lot.

And maybe divide it into brackets, where the top bracket still receives something, like an mtx in-game.

Another way to approach this would be to create an mtx effect for the top-tier and a t-shirt, while making the challenges more "attainable".

Then give the top-tier players a choice, do you want the free mtx effect, or do you want to buy the t-shirt for a fee.(this fee could also come with some mtx purchase points)

Reducing the overall cost for GGG.

And making it more fun for the entire community.

That is the word for it. I love side areas, I love vaal skills, I really liked the strongbox idea. But they all could have been implemented without SotV. SotV was really about the idea of invasion and the "return" of an Ancient Evil. I don't think either was handled very well.

We're still farming for the Axe atm. (65 uber atziri kills in, no axe in sight)


An axe was sold in ambush recently for FOUR Mirrors. Even if we hit it the axe, I'd be awfully tempted to get rid of it for that kind of price and let somebody else have that magical 8/8.


The price will probably go up more tbh. Supply is non-existent. Single digits.



The Domination challenge was difficult, but it was nowhere near this monster. Sincerely hope they rework it in some way for future leagues. (that said I love the Atziri/uber atziri setup... other than the abysmal rng gating put on the final challenge requiring hundreds of uber kills potentially)

Nice snip job there. That's how far I've gotten in 9 attempts. It's a learning process, sweetcheeks. Have gotten to Atziri in the last 2 attempts. Rest assured I could finish the job.

And again, I reiterate, that most seem to consider the trio-guardians harder than the queen herself. The trio I have already beaten twice...in a row...in 9 total attempts...solo.

The challenges are FAR worse than you think sir. The "expensive gloves" - you'll go through a hundred pairs of those gloves farming Uber Atziri before you ever get near the Axe. (unless crazy lucky ofc)

Pretty much this.

If you really wanted the challenge then you'd learn how to do the atziri fight. Normal atziri is very much doable by a big variety of builds. I actually consider her quite fun and it's all I've been doing lately(mainly for fun and gem XP.. and the chance of getting a mortal hope).

Even uber atziri is doable if you really build for it but the final rare item requires far too much kills/luck.

Snip job? I assume you mean how I pointed out the things I wanted to talk about? Listen it's plain and simple. These challenges are tough, and your point is contrary to your statement that these win conditions don't reward dedication/ skill. They exactly reward them. Sure they are harder than the previous challenges, but that's the challenging part of challenges. Also I don't know what you are getting at with the Frodo comment?

Maybe the should make the challenges easier and limit it to the first x amount of people 8/8 to getting shirts and the next 50 get some MTX or something so self proclaimed hardcore as hell old school really really really old school experienced gamers can stop complaining that they aren't either dedicated enough or good enough to complete the challenges.

A tee shirt is a crap challenge prize, anyway; I have a closet full from Supporter Packs. GGG should be selling 'em, and coming up with something better for these challenges. ='[.]'=

Also agree with this. I think people would MUCH rather have some kind of awesome digital MTX reward for it that they could actually show off in the game some how.


It also solves GGGs cost problem on giving away the prizes all at once - they spend to design/build the MTX and then they can scale the challenge however they like and give away as many of it as they feel is appropriate.
