Idea for the FFA loot system

" Funny. You discuss the perspective of another party member, since I'm assuming you're not talking about yourself. While I was discussing your action, my action, the players reaction, about you seeing that item and risking your own life to get it. Worry about what you can do. Not the other players. Your fusing orb that dropped may end up costing him his life, odds are, you'll be fine. |

" I don't really see how anyone can say that it doesn't encourage ninja looting. Maybe not in your group in particular but in the game as a whole ya. Hence one reason why people play single player or only with friends. Standard Forever

Encourage and allow are 2 completely different things.

Not really. But I still say that its intended. Like when Chris wrote this....
"It's important to us that Path of Exile has a cut-throat feel where players are not only competing against monsters, but also their fellow players." loot competition Standard Forever Последняя редакция: iamstryker#5952. Время: 27 окт. 2012 г., 21:30:33

Meh
Still say they allow for said "loot competition". Doesn't mean they encourage everyone act in this fashion. If they wanted to really encourage it. We wouldn't have this damn timer in the first place. Although they stated this has more to do with ranged classes losing out in true FFA. I've said this before, so ill say it again, I would have no problem with an instanced option, as long as there was no IIQ bonus applied to said group. That's about as far as ill personally go in the loot options "debate". |

" Wow thats great. I don't remember you saying that. I would be fine with losing the bonus. We we are in agreement. At least in this way there will surely be a group of people who will still play FFA just to get the bonus. So most players will be happy on both sides. Most of the people I know who don't like FFA would be fine with not having an IIQ bonus. Standard Forever

Now, if GGG being up to that is a different story
However, since this game is about choices, risk v. reward, and being a rough and tumble game, I still think this fits in nicely. I don't want them to lose customers, and I don't want them to lose their meta game idea. I do think if this were implemented, a warning screen would have to appear to let players who don't read the forums know what's up. |
