Damage reflection is death for witches

I'm not sure if resists affect reflected damage, but if they do, and she hasn't totally neglected her resists, that would have only been 600 damage - which shouldn't be enough to kill a character that is high enough level to cast a 6k shock nova. Unless she's also neglected life and energy shield, in which case she deserved to die for blindly casting nova on a reflection mob.

Maybe. It feels, though, that average life and energy shield are lower now. Way lower. Not sure if its just the gear luck.

But, yeah, now I am halfway through merciless, I automatically ignore or quit any elemental reflect. If I accidental hit one of those with a stray fireball and it crits, I am dead instantly. If I hit 3-4 people with a fireball splash, dead instantly.

Not worth it. Especially when half the enemies are champions with supplementary modifications that make them difficult to kill fast. There are no single target witch spells any more, anyway.

Reflecting 20% damage seems bad idea, and would be uncontrollable for some builds and characters.

Maybe reworking the idea making players lose a percentage of their max hp per kill would be better (like 10-20% per kill or whatever), this way players can avoid insta-deaths (which is bad IMO), but still penalize them for doing damage/killing which was the objective of this aura in the first place.

i die after 1 reflected nova almost always, on top of that elemental weakness curse + shock looks has similar sparkles and gives me hear attack from time to time

Iron Maiden should have never been removed and neither should this Reflect Aura. It does exactly what people want it to. It kills monotony and adds a level of challenge.

IM was stupid thats why it was removed, besides u could run into it only in 1-2 places in game

You didn't even read what i wrote.
2-5% of your max hp per kill? even the squishiest witch would laugh at that damage.

This is only true if it's hard or impossible to avoid the fight.

If you see one of these types of things... it's time to waypoint or portal out... or get some friends to party with.

I don't feel like it should be dropped.

This is only a major issue in hardcore anyway. (8/10 of the top 10 since I went to bed last night have died, most of them witches for whatever reason).

If you're too spam happy to not hit mobs it's your own fault.

I know it's not the playstyle you're used to (being cautious) but casting AOEs on the edge of the screen to pull/kill as they come is cheezy anyway.

I made a mistake one time of using the wrong skill on a group of physical reflect mobs and almost died because of it. I learned my lesson.

Be careful and this becomes a non issue.

good call, wanted to suggest that too.
Or make it a additional option for bosses.

So hardcore should be easy so you can coast through it while blabbering about carebears and elite players and whatnot but having a challenging hardcore is a no-no?

Alright, Chaos is officially unplayable.


The increased rate in aura mobs is dramatic enough so that elemental reflect is basically there before you get past the first quarter of the map.

And I already enjoyed a fantastic example of dying without even witnessing the aura visual effect.

The only way to do Chaos is to basically run behind enemy groups to check that there is no reflect within a screen behind them. Incredibly slow, tedious.
