what keeps you/prevents your solo/SF?

I dont play self found because trading is much much better way to accumulate wealth. PoE is a trading game.
The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.

" PoE is more trading sim than a dungeon crawler... If you play self found you will never ever to be able to compete with traders. Currently I play the game for 30 minutes a day just doing master dailies on torment... so thats a few fusings and some alteration from play the game, at the sametime I make 3ex-5ex a day casually afk trading (park my toon in town watching a movie and trade when someone PMs me) PoE isnt going to change anytime soon. " Trading in a game like POE where its the most important part obviously should be possible with ease, not with hassle. I dont even want to remember that 1 day i spent trading like 3 ex of the 6 or so i ever had for chromes just to get the right colors at vorici. Mind you 3 of my like 6 ex were not even self found but won in a trivia in global. If i could say 1 thing to Chris personally regarding orbs: Remove mirrors or make the item that was used to create a mirrored version also unmodifiable/unmirrorable. I never found a mirror, so how do they affect me? They dont, but they seem to affect others, and every once in a while i think about other people. |

I never can play self found: I ALWAYS buy jewelry to cap resists, so I never play complete self found. I vendor all my 60+ rings unidentified for chaos. So I don't have any rings myself. OP is right tho, my latest char relies on self found gear mostly and it gives a different feel of the game. Previous build had a 300-500ex value, meta build. Cool, but this junk gear self found has it's charm :) Vorici can shove his fuse up his [removed]

what would change if all currency would stay account bound and players could just exchange gear?
it would allow for a totally different game experience. an auction house would do no harm, orbs would be distributed more evenly, players would use build enabling items themselves... ^ thats just a theoretical thought. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

I ALWAYS buy jewelry to cap res early-mid merc. I sell ALL my rings UNidentified at vendor for chaos unless it's Ilvl 76+. Those usually end up at vendor too, for 1c :) I just set buyout to 1-3c and NEVER had a build that required me 5ex rings to get the job done. So I can't play SF because I have only 3-5 rings I kept :p Vorici can shove his fuse up his [removed]

" This is PoE... thats why people call PoE a trading simulator. It's true that it's extremely hard for players to get the useful drops they need to use an upgrade, but at the sametime your junk rares might be other people's missing puzzle to their gear set and vice versa. Cave in and using poe.trade and spend a few chaos will make your life so much easier in PoE.
