That feel when the Chaos Recipe becomes a waste of time

Too much inventory management.
Too much time looking at and picking up loots.
Can just fast clear and ignore everything but currency and jewelry.
Gain 2-3 Stash tabs worth of space now that they aren't filled with crappy rares.

Feelsgoodman.

Who else here feels like the Chaos Recipe is a noob trap? Who feels otherwise and why? What are the current opinions on the chaos recipe?

I started on Breach roughly 2 weeks ago as CoC Discharge.

The thing to take away from this is that you ALWAYS have more wealth than you realize in ARPGs. Typically your wealth will be divided thinly across your entire stash/characters. It's easier to discover this if you set Goals for yourself involving wealth....such as "Farm 180c for X item". You will quickly discover that there are many ways of reaching said goal with what you already have. Chaos Recipe is not the Key to obtaining wealth, but merely a tool to jump start your fresh characters. The later in the league it is, the less time-efficient it becomes.

I pick up only rings + amu + belts and from bosses I pick up rest.

Do you do 1c, 2c, or 3c recipe?

2c and 3c the only ones that seem like they might be "worth" it... but you miss out on good jewelry/belts and the profit gain is not very high when you consider the time and currency spent buying Scraps/Stones to quality everything.

I do 2c recipes, I am not gambler, I prefer stable profit, so I trade. But identify and find some good jewelery can work too.
Chaos recipe has always been a waste of time, it's not recent.

Not just a chore, but simply fast chaining maps provides much higher gain per hour.
Especially in the current speed meta.

Also, taking into account the current chaos to exalt ratios in all leagues makes farming the recipe efficient only at the beginning of a league.

Chaos recipe was a thing back in the days, with all the low movement and clear speed, low drops, and the good ratios. Not anymore.

Doing the recipe makes me feel imbecilic, so I don't. A personal observation, don't jump on the guns.

"When the chaos recipe becomes a waste of time"

You mean all times after the first day of a new league? Yup. It is a huge waste of time.
U MAD?
it depends. for me and my friends it isnt. Players have downtime and this is when you do it. It is passive income if you do it properly.

No additional trips to town, no time wasted instead of mapping, always efficient farming.

I always get bullied for this so feel free to shoot...and this is why i cant revel my method, aka the "noob method"

I used to religiously do the Chaos recipe. Had like 5 stash tabs devoted to it. I struggled with currency. I maybe had 2 direct exalt drops in my first 550 hours of playing.

Recently, I have been phasing out the Chaos recipe and over the last 3 weekends (I don't play much on weekdays) I have seen 5 exalts drop

A good indication of what is going on here seems to be xp/hr. With Chaos recipe it seems to hover around 50-70k xp/hr

Now I'm running upwards of 110-170k xp/hr depending on the maps being ran. I am effectively clearing 2-3x the content just by moving from map to map as fast as possible.
Eh, I do the same thing Rexeos does. I pickup and store unidentified rings/belts/ammys in the junk bases. Those all go into one tab. When it gets close to full I'll just pickup the rares off boss drops and dump those in another tab. The entire process to pickup, store and clear the full armor tab takes maybe 10 minutes. That's usually 20-30c for an entire total of 10 minutes of work. Unless you guys are telling me you're averaging 125-150c an hour, I don't see it being that bad.
Not bothered with it for a while now unless maybe at the early stages of a league, but i've found i get more chaos if i spend less time managing and sorting gear for the recipe and spend more time killing stuff(drop rates seem pretty high considering)
