So I wake up today and my account is locked with NO notice. You just lost a customer!

" I think the point he is trying to make is that he admitted to RMT the same way OP admitted to it. Obviously sarcasm is much easier to convey with sounds and visuals than in text, but it's still essentially the same thing. |

This type of thing is exactly why they specifically state that they can ban you without any reason what so ever. They have their reasons. Or they don't. Doesn't matter at all.

Streamers don't operate under the same rules as the regular PoE player. If PoePlayer#40376 posted a clip of him getting "gifts" like CuteDog does, what do you think GGG's reaction would be?
100% guaranteed that CuteDog laughs at GGG off stream. |

Whatever happened to "innocent until proven guilty"?
That's how we operate in my country anyway, and good thing we do. Anyone could otherwise get anyone else arrested for whatever they want by just saying they are guilty. Even if a person jokingly says he/she broke a rule, it should be investigated and proved before banning occurs. That said, that's not the way it goes, simply because it requires insane amounts of (wo)manpower (phew, dodged one there) that GGG may not want to spare on this. Think about it, it's a lot of work to go through each individual case, especially with jokers around. So to save time, you could automate the process and say "Jokers don't exist, there are no false positives, ban 'em all. If they appeal, we may choose to look anyway, or not. If they don't, working as intended." That way you only have to look when someone claims innocence. Bottom line is, if you don't want to get in trouble, listen to Houston from Payday, and don't act dumb. ![]() Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done. Lay your portal gem to rest, don't you die no more. 'Cause it's a bitter sweet symphony this league. Try to make maps meet, you're a slave to the meta, then you leave. We all should take responsibility for our own actions, but one criticism the OP made is legitimate, imo:
If you're going to take the time to lock an account, at least take 3 minutes and e-mail that person. It could even be a form letter, though a precise description of what triggered the lock and of what the user can expect moving forward would be more courteous. But the absence of even a form letter seems unacceptable to me. The fact that this isn't being done even with locks of years-old accounts demonstrates that there is no system in place for notifying customers of account locks. That too is unacceptable, unless your customer service standards are really, really low, and GGG has demonstrated many times that theirs are not. Wash your hands, Exile!

I'm sure that just typing the wrong 3 capitalized letters together will invoke the ban hammer from GGG. But... but... it was a typo I tell you.
"Thou shalt not speaketh" if one wishes to "Thou shall not get caught!" "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. The perfect solution to fix Trade Chat: www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2247070 |

I'm utterly amazed that you take this guy's story as true at face value. He's a known liar and is exaggerating his claims to make him seem like the victim here. Let him go. GGG is better off without him.
