TRADE is such a detriment to POE 2 being fun
When they released and marketed the game to the ASIA/SEA regions I stopped engaging with trade as much as it flooded the game with price manipulators and bots ruining the trading experience. Either play builds that do not rely on much trading or go SSF and progress slowly while praising the RNG gods or suffer through trade.
Honestly, SSF isn't as bad nowadays because the time you waste engaging and trying to trade for hours/days on end you could be getting more loot to craft your own. I feel like PoE2 makes SSF a bit more difficult to craft your own gear though(I hope they make crafting a bit better without going too overboard). Последняя редакция: dupie#7991. " I've been playing self-imposed SSF since early access began. Restarted on a clean slate after the buff to currency drop rates just to get actual feel of the new balance. SSF in POE2's current state is horrible. The currencies aren't dropping, the few Exalted Orbs I get are mostly wasted because the RNG give me useless stats. Just roughly, I'd say I am going to need at least 4-5 times more of the Exalted Orbs and at least 2-3 times more Regal Orb/Shards to make SSF feel enjoyable. As it stands I'm not even getting to craft. Последняя редакция: kumogakure#7381. Время: 20 дек. 2024 г., 05:48:09

" Yep, sadly almost all of my upgrades have been from checking every single vendor at level up in the hopes for a minor upgrade. |

Good luck with SSF. I've rolled a monk and would not have had a decent upgrade for most slot items in 40 levels

Tried SSF, got no upgrades in 2 acts and the game became miserable.
Bought upgrades that let me enjoy the rest of a game in a decent pace and it was much more fun again. Don't hesitate buying gear people. The crafting system is trash and you might very well have terrible luck on your loot. |

" There is no crafting system, outside of omens which are targeted gacha and way too rare to deterministically craft anything Farming salt on the forums since 2024

" This is an unfortunate reality of globalized gaming today. In many parts of the world there are people that see these games not as an opportunity to play a game, but as a way of making money / making a living, often at any cost and with no regard for the rules of the game. I feel for them that the best option available to feed their family is RMT in an online video game, but it does make the game significantly worse for the population that the studio draws the majority of its revenue from and steps have to be taken to stop them. |

Having never played PoE 1, I have enjoyed playing this game. I'm usually not in favor of trade and like optional SSF modes, but in PoE2 there is NO other way. You trade or you don't progress it's that simple.
Now that I'm in endgame I know for 100% certain that SSF mode in this game is not possible. At no point have I have found a single endgame item I could use, and have never successfully crafted one and probably never will. Hell high tier bases don't even seem to drop even if I wanted to yolo slam it with the "crafting" system which is just a Korean MMO RNG loop. Say what you will about Last Epoch, the SSF vs. Trade faction system is revolutionary in the ARPG genre, never seen anything like it and GG games should really take some inspiration from it. I like this game, but to come back for seasonal content and play trade website simulator 2025 every league instead of actually grinding for loot drops in an ARPG? Eh...I just don't know. |

- Game has EXTREME level of stat SCALING.
- To be able to OVERCOME this level of stat SCALING, PLAYER need certain level of POWER. - Game is BALANCED AROUND certain level of POWER. - Certain level of POWER can be can be ONLY achieved by TRADE within REASONABLE amount of TIME. - Conclusion : Game BALANCED around TRADE. Now tell me people that say: "go play SSF", how is it your trade not affecting my game balance then? One solution is to downscale end game stat requirments, thus make an adjustment ratio on [Skill <-> Stat] toward skill. The other is to implement more controlable and preferable way to aquire target stat source alternative to trading, but that does not solve fact that we still have to cap res and achieve other stat levels to be able to perform. |

I´ve always wished for a SSF mode with increased drops for casuals.
Given the current state of POE (as it´s also the case for POE1) , we have two options (assuming you want to have a life, and not only play this game): OPTION 1: get into trading (which sucks because it´s time consuming in a boring way) to find those items you so much need and will never in a million years drop nor we´ll be able to craft ourselves... OPTION 2: play SSF to avoid trading, but the games becomes 10 x harder. POE experience in a nutshell, there it is. |
