GGG has to decide whether or not they want this game to be mainstream or remain niche

i also gotta add, i dont understand this community. do you guys just wanna play vampire survivors with extra steps or what?

Helping to bump up because every argument was on point. It is baffling that GGG doesn't tier their difficulty and just find ways to make it both. They already have separate leagues, why not just actually use them properly?

Especially when you have a customer base that is clearly here saying "we like your game, and will probably spend money on it if you make it worth our while".

Instead, GGG lures us in with the main campaign, and then gives us the middle finger in the endgame and tells us to "f*** off".

Like you said, a lot of good elements, but overall terrible design that is the fault of leadership in my opinion, not the programmers doing the everyday stuff.

Fortunately GGG will make a niche game that I enjoy playing rather than a dumbed down generic arpg for the masses that are a dime a dozen and entirely forgettable.

Being mainstream doesn't make a game good.

It totally is but that's the appeal.

Grab a beer, turn off brain, zoom around kill a few hundred mobs, pick up shinies, smash crap, sell good stuff, zoom zoom some more.

It's fun. Like a game is meant to be.

If I wanted to think I'd fire up Battle Brothers or Terra Invicta.

I see no shame in saying that I like playing builds that clear the screen in PoE 1 and 2.

Then most folks say that folks can just play PoE1 for it! (and some do/go back to it!) -- thoughts on that?

Others then say PoE1 longevity is "dead" now and playerbase is nothin'! -- thoughts on that? (can this also be PoE2 future?)
