Recent mass bans are wrongful and GGG needs to address this mistake and fix it.
" " Guy, I don't know who this individual is or why you think their opinion on the matter is worthy of being quoted here, but based on that statement alone I can promise you there's nothing in that video that's worth seeing because the statement is utterly f'ing absurd on its face. The thing that is clear as day is that the designers would never intentionally allow people to create an infinite amount of currency at zero cost. The fact that the items "did what they said" does not mean the intended design was the creation of infinite currency. Every single person who took advantage of this very clear and unquestionably unintended mechanic 100% absolutely knew that this was not intended and they all deliberately chose to exploit it anyway. All of their bans are 100% deserved and all of the YouTube videos in the world are not going to change that. In summary, this dude f'd around and found out. I hope it was a learning opportunity for both of you. Последняя редакция: Kerchunk#7797. Время: 11 апр. 2025 г., 08:51:19

The bans HAD TO HAPPEN.
GGG needs to set a precedent that if you find an obviously unintended mechanic and you abuse and spam it you will be punished. Do not do it. If you find something, report it and move on. You wont have fomo because you know anyone doing it will be banned. |

If you read the ToS you'll see that it doesn't need to be an exploit/bug/hack for GGG to decide to restrict access to our accounts.
GGG reserved the right to ban anyone for: "...if you have engaged in behaviour which Grinding Gear Games deems in its sole discretion is not in keeping with the intended spirit of participation in PoE or for any other reason whatsoever. In such event you agree that Grinding Gear Games will not be required to provide you with prior notice or explanation in respect of such action." You can see it as unfair all you want, but technically we agreed to that. "Beidat honored the pact, though Mancy wouldn't take off Doryani’s prototype."

" They already did set a precedent, probably many times. Empyriangaming, already a decently popular streamer at the time was banned for the duration of an Ultimatum league or more just 3 years ago. I would've tried doing what he did, except the only reason he got banned and I didn't, was because he had an OP character with an OP party, and I wasn't strong enough. Clearly, it's not obvious enough, and it's not obvious to me still for the reasons I've mentioned, and I logically disagree with the counter arguments that have been provided so far.. To me this isn't different from exploiting any number of any other game mechanics to become immortal and insta-clear maps. And it's not just one mechanic. It's several mechanics related to each other that just formed a synergy. |

" Yeah, except I believed they would have an approach to it in better faith. How am I supposed to not be paranoid now, that anything that feels too strong could be bannable? I'm literally afraid of playing the game. The fact that they do absolutely nothing to revert in-game damages done by hackers or like HC deaths from bugs/DC/etc, but are absolutely happy to ban you for not exactly playing the game as they want always bothered me, and I went out of my way to cope on it. Well no more. I think their terms and behavior on this topic is disgusting. Последняя редакция: edgartheslayer#7880. Время: 11 апр. 2025 г., 09:57:03

Actions have consequences, who could've thought? Any1 who reached rituals and was able to setup their multiple tablets in such a way that their rerolls didn't cost anything absolutely had common sense and general game knowledge to understand that 0 cost rerolls were a side effect rather than intended mechanic and they still chose to abuse it. Good ridance... For now at least.
" I don't believe for a second that you don't see a difference between abusing a not intended synergy of skills (armor explosion from 0.1 for example) and abusing a mechanic to get an indefinite number of currency. Последняя редакция: AIDA_TriEdge#4390. Время: 11 апр. 2025 г., 10:13:51

"infinite money" "glitch"
[Removed by Support] this ban comes from a boring mindset, no wonder this game is boring. ggg should just laugh it off. Последняя редакция: Drew_GGG#0000. Время: 11 апр. 2025 г., 10:26:05

I went and watched the video. I hate cheaters/exploiters/etc. as much as anyone, but given HOW this "combo" comes together, I can't help but agree with OP. Every item released in a PoE game generally is looking for synergy of some sort from player creativity and the question is, if this "exploit" was completely unintended, what possible synergy was imagined when the item was made? What possible use case did they have in mind?
How is the guy who got to -100% monster speed with Chrono last league not banned (clearly that cannot be intended either?) and these people are? |

Just because something says or does something doesn't mean it is intended. If doing something clearly will brick the economy, and you do it and ruin the game for everyone else, then you will get banned to avoid ruining the game for everyone else.
If you find an issue like this you make a bug report and hope it gets fixed. If you abuse it and make youtube videos to exacerbate the problem you get banned. Последняя редакция: Kashou#2868. Время: 11 апр. 2025 г., 10:34:18
