Remember when poe 2 was just an expansion?
There's an aspect to this that your ignoring.
Poe 1 and their playerbase is what made poe 2 even possible. The fact they lied to the poe 1 players twice so far sets the tone. Yea, they said years after the fact that poe 2 will be a stand alone game but originally the game was supposed to be an expansion. Which is what this post was made for. I'd love to see poe 1 not be brought out back and shot. First get the "4.0 expansion" ripped away Then getting resources pulled to work on EA. It's EA why is there a rush. As most. Money changed their minds. no love for poe 1, the game and players that made it possible. Sad dayz |

It's kind of like the jealous sibling.
Obviously the game looks much better, just hoping they still update poe 1 to some extent and give it the overhaul. |

" Dude... it's not that hard to understand. 1) The PoE community got cheated for 4 years. In that time, GGG took the money from the supporter packs, but delivered something completely different then advertised. You think "You knew a year and a half" is some sort of argument, when it's not, because the 4 years already happened. 2) The disparity? Holy... that the footage from 2019 showed gameplay of the updated version of PoE1 and not gameplay from a separate game (PoE2), because... guess what, it wasn't a separate game. [Removed by Support]

" No you're just changing my argument to suit your needs lol. 1) The argument here is that GGG did their due diligence to inform customers what the vision was. The number of years you'd deem it unfair is purely arbitrary. 2) More semantics. Calling it a separate game is just a technicality and doesn't address my question. The scope of the game kept growing but they were developing the same project so they were in essence the same. Don't be so obtuse. I understand you're upset you didn't get the project you wanted, but the point here is that POE2 was never falsely advertised, even when it nominally was an expansion, and folks had ample time not to purchase it if what they desired didn't square with GGG's vision. |

" 1) It IS unfair and false advertising. If someone tells you "Hey, we modernise game x" with the intention in mind to get ongoing support, but says "What you supported us for over 4 years isn't happening anymore. Instead, here is something else you didn't ask for", is not unfair... you can't be helped. 2) You clearly have no clue about PoE1, that's why you don't understand that your "semantics" argument is just invalid nonsense. people usually have a disgust reaction to lying but some, it seems, rather enjoy it . missing self respect i suppose.

Is this even feedback
When you buy a supporter pack you are basically donating money to the company. It's not a guarantee or a pledge by them to bring your ideas into the game or to make sure that what they use it for is approved by you. POE1 still looking like most entitled community i've ever come across. Your game was free and you chose to give the devs money |

and yet it s not called. donate money to the company but supporter pack.
love the talking points repeated ad nauseam. so you re saying ggg is a company that shouldnt be trusted. got it. |

" Yup GG showed a direction at ExileCon 2019. It wasn’t a final product; it was a vision. Supporter packs came with digital goods, not a legally binding product description for PoE2. In 2023, they explicitly communicated the pivot and gave plenty of lead time before PoE2’s launch. So unless there’s some internal leak showing they planned the change from the beginning and purposely misled people (which there isn’t), it’s a bad faith interpretation of normal development evolution. At this point, arguing with someone so committed to the “they cheated us” narrative becomes more about emotional therapy than factual debate. The person is just arguing semantics at this point.
