Losing XP on death is too much
It’s been mentioned a million times already, but losing XP on death is just insanely demotivating. Once I hit 90, I basically lose all motivation to keep playing—even though that’s the part of the game I actually enjoy the most.
There are so many ground effects, slows, and random one-shots that it doesn’t even feel like a fair punishment. My minions already spam so many effects on the ground that I can barely see what’s happening. Why am I writing this if it’s been said countless times before? Honestly, just frustration. I don’t see myself continuing with the game if this doesn’t change. Feels like I bought another supporter pack too early, because I’ve already lost most of the drive to keep playing. The main reason: XP loss on death. And maybe the most unfun mechanic ever created redone every season ... trial of Sekema, or whatever it's called. It’s a shame, because despite all its problems the game is already great and could be even better—but what’s the point if you lose all of the motivation after hitting 90 and all of those random one shots? I am curious how long GGG will keep XP penalty...probably until when they will release that this is not good for business ...

They should atleast drop the exp loss when you fight a boss map. Because map bosses can go crazy hard.

Agree 100% on both.
I quit 0.1 and 0.2 due to Sekhemas. Horrible design. I wonder how many others did, I know I can't be the only one. |

All it does is waste your time, and it doesn't exist in the earlier parts of the game either so it just feels tacked on as an extra punishment combined with lower xp gain in general at upper levels. It's just a really lame misguided attempt at artificial play time extension.

"Not that I'm in favour of exp loss, but statements like "this is not good for business" are kinda useless, if you dont have data to prove your point. Like: PoE1 was extremely successful and PoE2 also is very successful. I dont think GGG has any financial problems right now. And just because of a few people complaining here on the forum, GGG won't change it's game. |

XP loss should remain, but not in a such severe way. There were many good proposals and best of them was that every "section" of XP bar is locking your leveling progress (you can't drop below the section). Death will still remain a problem, but it won't punish players so much.
