I'm really disappointed in WHY Homogenising Exaltation was removed
" It was, but even with that, making good gear still costs hundreds or thousands of divines. So what's the point in removing it? So it now can cost tens of thousands and be completely innaccessible? For any average player (like me) who was having a blast being able to craft ALL my gear by myself instead of having to resort to the crafting cartels and having a goal for playing 3 months straight in the league, this removal is such a bullshit I can't even put words out for it. This will surely make me (and a lot of people) quit after a week, because now I'll have no goal to pursue, no new upgrade to aim to and will prolly just try a week of the temple, feel like and idiot breaking a subpar equipment in double corrupt and saying fuck it to the game. Again, this was the MOST obnoxious decision this league - going us back to 0.2 orb casino. PS: Instead of completely breaking the system, what about, for instance, MAKE IT RARER, so people would still have an option? There's still time... Последняя редакция: LeonardoSilvaDF#3295. Yeah it was great to finally be able to engage with crafting in 0.3
Maybe it will be ok later when we get more crafting options like fossils with delve and all, but right now, I defenitely think it is prematured to remove homog omen. Maybe make the omen rarer, or put a limit of one homog mod per item or something. This feels like knee-jerk hammer nerf |

" I got you bro. Still plenty of ways to get it down. Happy to help if needed |

They had to save TFT and the RMT markets. It's owned by Tencent after all. That's why people say it's too OP. They either don't understand the difference between actual crafting (player-controlled results) and gambling (hoping for results) or they are rmt-ers.

maybe they should add homogenizing orb as atziri temple room. (tier 3)
drag item that you want to put it on, make room rare. Последняя редакция: Causese#2216. Время: 9 дек. 2025 г., 09:22:27

After hearing that explanation, I'm sure they are done introducing the kind of engaging complexity that made 0.3 so much fun. It's genuinely heartbreaking, since if they had maintained that direction, crafting would have eventually been incredible. See you back at the slot machines, intuitive to everyone.

I also didn't like that they were removed. It's not that we dont understand how to craft its that you can only do it so many times and fail before your tired of engaging with it. I dont think the devs understand ppl dont want to slam an exalted 4 times and get only one mod they are looking for out of x amount of tries. It becomes a chore to farm bases plus currencey then also get the results your looking for

Crafting deterministically should never net above average items in any form, the moment that is happening the game is already turning into shit, i wanna find the good gear from the ground i like arpgs for that reason, that's the core of these games the adrenaline hits from finding cool stuff, PoE 1 is lost already in that aspect (unless they massively rework loot and crafting), noone needs another currency farming simulator, currency should exist to get some decent gear going and gamble on good results, the top stuff should come from ground loot period.

0.3 was the first EVER since 2011 or so, where I actually enjoyed crafting, I didn't make any mirror level stuff but I made some items for me that was very good... much better than random slam crap... it was actually fun too and you felt like you had a chance to make something cool... now? meh...

" Ho shut up already, you get useful items all the time especially at the moment that items dont have any advanced modifiers, it's mostly life/defense/resists so i call that complete bullshit, either that or youre really bad at the game, and you know when you cant find useful items? When everyone is running top tier crafted items for a couple divines, and that's exactly the problem that needs to be fixed. IGN - Slayonara
