I'm really disappointed in WHY Homogenising Exaltation was removed
" Completely agree. Any of your suggestions would be better than just completely removing it. I think I'm not going to buy any of the supporter packs this time. I'm pretty disappointed with them ruining crafting and providing no real endgame changes. |

" This. Streamers started FOMO but in reality attacker gloves are true div sink. T1 flat attack mod is still not guaranteed and you have to hit 3 of them avoiding accuracy which is brick. Again people dont realize how expensive homo crafting is. They watched two videos and said "ok its broken" but they didnt see a process of spending 50-200divs on any other piece of gear. 0.3 was the best league for me... as a semi-casual, it was the only one I was able to craft ALL my stuff and get decent gear and also make some money out of it. Because of it I played more than 2 months for the first time.
Even with the omen it was NEVER easy... but I guess they want us to go back to stupid pure RNG shit. I won't be "crafting" with some bullshit blind orb slam thing. I'd rather just go waste my time somewhere else. Guess this will be a 1-2 week run for me and then quit, unless something exceptional comes with a mid week patch. For the crafting cartels - enjoy your win. |

Ya this change sucks, and it represents what's been quite frustrating about GGG on some patch changes. Instead of nerfing things like say changing these omens to read "will give 60% chance to...." they just delete it from the game instead.

It was reasonable to anticipate the homogenizing omen being removed/nerfed in a later version of the game once more crafting methods were introduced. The issue is that they are saying they're just removing it without giving anything to bridge the gap right now.
Yes, it is an extremely powerful crafting tool, but it didn't make things "too easy" or even "too cheap" for that matter. The boots I crafted cost on average 600div to craft, the gloves 210div, the rings 300+div each. The difference between having the option to actually craft what you want versus having to yolo slam or spam mirrors worth of whittles to reach the end is a difference between an actually fun system to engage with and not having one. If they are actually looking to judge the success of the game based on how many people come back each league (not just retention inside of each league), then it doesn't make sense to remove an entire avenue for fun. 0.3 Was the most fun I've had playing any game in years and it was almost entirely due to the fascination with the crafting. It was accessible at every budget range, and the process of figuring out a crafting process for an item you want to make was so fun with the homogenizing omen. Removing the omen with nothing being added is close to gutting crafting. |

Jonathans argument about people complaining that they "finished their characters too quickly" is also vague and probably baseless.
Being able to craft good (not even close to PERFECT), serviceable gear and get your build fully functional in a reasonable amount of time was a major achievement of 0.3 and something that encouraged people to roll multiple alts. It also made sub-par builds able to stay competitive and do the harder content. This league is already looking like it's going to be another "one character and done", and you better pick your build correctly. Последняя редакция: Tommo26#1554. Время: 5 дек. 2025 г., 14:29:56

" 100%. It kept me playing all league long. I made 5 characters. I'm expecting 0.4 to be a "poverty league" now, which will likely mean I am going to quit after 2 weeks. Then again, at the same time, they specifically said they don't care about retention or how long players play for, which contradicts his argument about finishing your characters too quickly. Why does it matter how fast people finish their characters if they don't care about how long people are playing for? Doesn't make sense. |
|
" It should be in the UI for sure. You already had to look up what a Ulaman, Amanamu, and Kurgal modifier was in the first place cause there is literally nothing in the game that tells you. I'm guessing the overwhelming majority of people who engaged with crafting last league just used PoE2DB or similar website to figure it all out. I feel like we'll eventually just be dragged into something like the PoE1 crafting bench I just wonder how long it will take. |
|
" Yeah I think the vast majority was actually happy so they were finally able to engage with crafting and get decent gear. And even then, there was still room for very high and expensive stuff with exceptional bases and such. Seems like a decison taken for the top 0.1% |
