I never said that anyone forced her to play the game. She asked, and GGG actually ( apparently ) answered that it was a real thing. Now they didn't change it because they had more important priorities, sad for her. But she had a point, even a small one. " That would be over reacting ( yes she did it ). SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

So, basically, if you don't have the victim mentality, there's no victimization here. edit to clarify: viewer's bias plays a major role in interpreting what these images depict... I never even noticed the ladies until this post. My wife never noticed them and when I pointed out that they were sex slaves chained to my health and mana, she argued that they did not look like sex slaves. So, look at them objectively, it's art. The majority of players in this game don't have problems with these things that you call sexist so you're forcing your will upon them. Basically it's the opposite of your example. It would be the majority wanting no smoking in public while the minority forces them to allow smoking everywhere. If GGG panders to every minority that's offended by something there will be no nudity, no violence, no swearing on the forums, no magic, no monsters, no weapons, basically no game. There's many pieces of this game that someone will find offensive. Share your views, if GGG agrees they might make changes. If you get unreasonable then why would anyone listen to you? There's no mention of how mara or even duelist are sexualized forms of males. How many men look like that? Mara is wearing a cloth over his dick otherwise he's a model male (same complaints people have with scion). If your arguments are for equality, I'm on board. Back to my example, how hard is that that forcing someone to breath your smoke is disturbing/offensive ( situation where the smokes arrives when the disturbed person is already there ).
So it's not the best fit here ( was just completing someone else's example ). Noone is forcing anyone to anything. She asked. That'd be cool if they'd change it, I hope they will. But : she had a valid point ( and GGG apparently admited it ). That's all. Reactions on this thread are the ridiculous things. ( I hope I'm gonna say it again right after this time T___T ). I have been reading trough the posts and the idea of being able to buy customizations for your user interface has some merits to it. First of all, the people who are offended by pixels which represent non existing characters can spend money to fix this utter issue and in that way contribute to the game. On the other hand, people who might like a more personal touch to the game can be happy as well. Maybe change the color of the frame or add some different characters "slave girls" for classes perhaps?. Win/Win if you ask me... |

PoE is a game with a rather dark theme, it just belongs to the theme/story of the game. It is more or less a view on a society that is (except for the strange experiments part) quite similar to that of our own history. |
