Why... instead of just posting a sensationalist title and a bunch of rubbish do you not explain the mechanics and go into the math on why you think the economy will suddenly be ruined on march 5th?

" The only way to limit RMT is bind-on-account gear, and even then people would sell whole accounts. Most players don't seem to want BoA or BoE gear, so it would essentially "punish" the very vast majority of players for the actions of a selected few. An overkill. (Personally, I'd be fine with BoA items, but to plenty of folks trading, or even giving away, items is part of the fun.) The only thing one could perhaps blame GGG for is that their response to RMTing isn't draconian enough. From what I gather, actual consequences seem rare. If they were not, and if GGG was more forthcoming with information about this (not the Blizzard way of "today we banned 4,000,000,000 accounts!" that no one takes seriously), people might think twice before handing over money to a shady third party site. | |
