If someone is going to RMT currency to buy my item, where do i stand in the rule books?
" RMT IS the core problem. Without people who are willing to spend money into this 'trades', there would go away ANY reason to bot for: this "business" only exists because its possible to make money with. invited by timer @ 10.12.2011

" and this brings what exactly? Where's the list what are acceptable trade-ins for an exalt? They dont exist, they CANT exist. And as said above, why should a good group not be allowed to share some wealth? Where's the relevant difference between a stack of chromatics or a stack of chaos (which I both assume to be shared more or less frequently) and loaning an exalt to your mate for the uber-item he rolled? Does he have to hand-over me the "correct" equivalent value in chaos? or can he pay me also in fusings, or even in whetstones? Can we not longer use a guild stash for any orb, or just for "expensive" ones? There are different 'reasons' for different 'equivalent values' in trades... and the fact of a trade itself still proves nothing. invited by timer @ 10.12.2011

" There is nothing wrong with sharing currency or helping people out. I love the thought no matter how rarely it actually happens. But they can tell who buought their stuff from shady people. To that some may say "but what if they didnt know", I say ignorance is no excuse for breaking the rules, simple as that. |

" People will bot for trade and non profit...I imagine there are just as many people botting for personal usage as for money. Also you will never stop RMT...try as hard as you like but it will never go away. RMT selling is a big money business and as POE makes it harder and harder for players to farm they will only bolster their sales. Последняя редакция: Therian#3949. Время: 26 февр. 2014 г., 13:07:29

" How can anybody know if currency is RMT involved or not? Especially in standard there are people haveing more Eternals than I ever had alteration orbs. If each currency item could be traded only once that would be another thing. But there is no way you can find the currency history. Sure you can suspect somebody if he tells you 3 exalts last offer and later offers you 10 exalts but it might also be the case that he borrowed those from friends but how would you know the borrowed exalteds aren't involved in RMT. |

" I cant know... example: imagine I trade a Tabula Rasa for someone's exalt. This exalt changed its owner against some chaos, and one of this chaos orbs was involved by a trade against a unique which first was reowned by (any) corrency which was bought with rmt. HOW am I responsible for that? Whom can we then trust still? Or can we really assume the rmt cleanup is that fast that the inflicted items are gone before they can meet me? invited by timer @ 10.12.2011

and like I explained - how is the fact that NOBODY can KNOW what happened with any item etc two, three or even more trade 'steps' before - how can this be taken as ignorance in any case?! If we assume that rmt exists, then we MUST expect that after some time, ANY item (at least) can be involved in some form of suspicious deal... NOT to trade under any circumstances is NOT a solution, but would the only possible consequence.

Are people legit suggesting to straight out DELETE all items and currency "infected" by RMT?
Do you know how crazy that idea is, what if a single exalt orb got passed around a couple dozen times between different owners all traded for different items. Do we suddenly delete every single item ever traded for the exalt orb and the exalt orb itself? What if multiple people traded multiple items and currency that were RMT/botted and all passed between 1000s of users, do we just delete all the equipment off everyone involved? If I gave my friend a "tainted" exalt to be nice that I traded someone else and he used that to buy some gear, does my friend and the guy lose the exalt and the gear that he bought? Like really, realistic ideas here. Don't get me started on the amount of logs GGG would have to stare at for weeks. |
