If someone is going to RMT currency to buy my item, where do i stand in the rule books?

If exalts stack it doesn't automatically make them equal to alts in terms of anonymity.

I personally think mirrors and maybe eternals are unique.

probably, but you missed the other half of the coin: your hypothetical situation will always stay a theory... as long as there are items with a 'general use' (high valued equipment is much more limiting specific), these will be used as trade equivalent. Gems in D2, the Runes in LoD... there's a reason why orbs are designed as items: they are meaned to be traded (but not as only option, of course). The difference to LoD (where high runes had a drop level requirement as 'addition' to their rareness) is just that you are not limited to maps to be able to find exalts, eternals, mirrors etc.

It can't be anything else but hypothetical, that ship has sailed.
My post was a 'why the fuck didn't they' not a 'they should do'

Yes there would be other pseudo 'better' currency items appearing in the barter system. Which are also non-stackable and carry a unique ID. That was the point, remember? Among the other benefits I listed.
Casually casual.
