He wasn't one shoted. And there are life based players that killed shaper.

Why do people complain that the last encounter is too hard or can oneshot people. If you want to farm easily stay in Dried Lake.
The mechanics of the Shaper are dodgeable and with some practice and experience good players will faceroll him in a month anyways.

No wonder GGG can't balance it. I guess that guy with 15k ES should be considered melee,since he's in the boss $%^ all the time but im honestly lost...but hey,i play EQ so im in the range,OP club ?


It's meant to imply the range of a skill and in the case of labeling something 'melee' it means using a skill that affects a small radius centered around the player requiring them to be close to a monster.


Well,the world first Shaper kill is done by a melee char then. If people call EQ being,"ranged" because AOE,then BV is melee,small range,big damage,requiring you to stand next to the boss/mobs. Therefore yes,world first shaper kill is done by a melee.


No. Blade Vortex is not a melee build. It is an OP SPELL build that has insane damage and insane hit rate.

It is easy to scale and thus requires less points for damage - points that you can put elsewhere (i.e. more ES). You are hitting insane damage on simple gear.

Want a build with 10k+ ES and high melee damage? Good luck - you will be a walking reflection with the amount of mirrored gear you will need to even get a whiff of BV's level.

The hit rate on Blade Vortex is also broken. I've played Blade Vortex but you can watch any BV video and see for yourself:

- Watch how fast you can get max power charges on a SINGLE enemy. You hit max power charges almost the instant your blades touch an enemy

- It is so insane I could even use my blades on Atziri Reflection clone and all you do is just laugh

This is of course why every BV build is either a) Pathfinder, or b) using Harvest - to sustain flasks which you NEED NEED on T15+ bosses.

There is no other skill like this in the game. Yes it plays in melee range, but so was CoC discharge.

These are all very different from a melee ATTACK builds which

i) Cannot scale damage as easily as BV - that means spending more points on DPS or having more expensive gear (mirrored items)

ii) Cannot recharge flasks as easily - fact is you need flasks to survive end-game. This is especially true for some of the harder bosses. The easier it is to maintain the flasks the better your survivability, thus BV builds can attain some of the highest survivability in this game that no other build can do.

On top of that, as a SPELL build BV has easy access to Alchemist node for even more flask buffs - lol.

This is a no brainer. There is no other build that can do what BV does, yet alone a melee build lol.

I find it really annoying that this game and it's community take pride in what a "deep" "complicated" game it is that requires you to invest in to defense as much as offence. You spend 1/3 of your skill points on life, you stack armor, you use fortify, you cap your resistances. And then all the boss fights are bullet hell, dodge or instagib and none of that shit matters. LAME
Boss dead at day 5.
It's unfair yes.

Funny thread complaining about GGG ruined POE with difficulty. Some of you dont remember how hard POE was years ago. Now we have couple difficult bosses and we see crying from players who try fight them with tabula rasa :)

Gamers these days think they should be able to access every aspect of a game.
