That feel when the Chaos Recipe becomes a waste of time
" 10min for 1ex lmao ok bud. This is ~3 weekends worth of farm, 2 characters, no chaos recipe post Dried lakes on first char. None of these are self-found. All bought with farmed currency: I dont play much on weekdays. Full time job and baby on the way in 2 weeks so I cant play 8+ hours a day like some. Not even on the weekend. Cospris: 40c Voll's Devotion: 185c Mask: 15c for 325es Shield: 120c Belt: 20c Boots: 120c Lt Pen Vinktars: 120c Xoph's Blood: 50c Intuitive Leap: 20c 5L Voll's Prot: 15c That's 705 chaos (~18ex based on rates at the time) in probably a fraction of the time you have played. To top it off, if you chart this farm over time, like 70% of it was done over 1.5 weekends. As clear speed improves, so does wealth. Not even including all of the other shit I bought like Tabula/GCPs/Glassblowers/gems. I do not do the chaos recipe. Again, this is not shit I found, like your Chayula blue dream jewel. " Well this wealth is basically just from this character. Which is in the time frame of a bit over a week. I have 6 tabs for chaos recipes. A simple ctrl click into each tab it's very quick. I've got about 6-7 ex in spare currency and quite a lot more in items to sell. I'm just trying to say the chaos recipe is guaranteed currency where as RNG isn't. The problem with the chaos currency is that when you're doing it the best you'll get from it is 1-2c, while in a map you may find a valuable unique, get an exalt drop, or find a Gemcutter's Strogbox with valuable gems with 20% quality that you can sell; and at worst you pick 1-2 chaos from smaller currency drops that you sell later for chaos to trade or use.
And you find valuable thing often enough in maps that it makes it worth to keep doing even low level maps, than vendoring garbage in town. |

Even then when you hit high tier maps you aren't doing the chaos recipe anyway. The items are too high of an itemlevel.

I Feel a nerf to movement speed like it happened with quantity and diamond flasks, criticals.
That or they will buff up chaos recipe to be double, or tripple profit, so that their vendor mechanics, aren't completely useless. |

I would say I earned about 4 exalts worth of chaos and regals doing the recipe in breech league. It takes all of 10 seconds for me to loot and dump them into my quad stash at the end of every map I run. When my quad is full I spend about 5 minutes getting 20+ chaos/regals.
So I'm getting all the loot and currency from running maps AND the currency from trash drops. |
