Delve sucks
|
The need to farm sulphurite to drive the crawler, the need to farm azurite for flares and dynamite, blowing up fractures, and the death-stepping-into-darkness just makes for an egregiously un-fun experience. I gave it a shot and found it sorely lacking.

I just uninstalled after giving Delve as fair of a shake as I possibly could. Some of the awful mechanics are going to be improved, which is nice if they actually get good enough to not suck. I died every damn time I broke through a wall due to how shitty flares are, and that was a bunch of times. I never even got to see what was on the other side, since I always died immediately to a swarm of unkillable enemies because my only light source was a tiny flare that I somehow could never manage to actually stand on. Other aspects of Delve, like the horrible bouncing back and forth grinding for sulfite, then delving, then grinding, then delving, is probably going to suck just as hard forever without ever being improved.
I still haven't explored the darkness off the path due to the shitty DOT mechanic combined with the shitty flare mechanic (no AOE and limited uses? what the fuck, GGG?). I still hate being forced to rush through every single delve at a pace I don't enjoy. I just absolutely fucking hate the game GGG seems set on turning POE into. They also keep adding a shitload of particle effects to every zone in every expansion, killing my performance. I don't think I hit over 15 FPS while delving, which is pure cancer. Their "we're never adding an option to disable particle effects" stance is just as bullshit today as the first time I heard it. Too damn many hours later, Delve still sucks. Do better, GGG. |

" After all these leagues, have you ever thought that maybe it's just you that's the issue, and not ALL of these little things that are so TERRIBLE? I mean, sure flares are clunky, sure you get over-levelled while in acts, but you just open the fucking game and play it, and CHOOSE to have fun while they fix some minor clunkiness. I always see you just complain about every fucking thing. News flash - THIS GAME IS NOT FOR YOU. GO PLAY SOME OTHER GAME. If you uninstalled then that's it, no need for more commentary and see you in 3 months sir! |

" How come do peope have reached 300+ depths in HC and have been using fossils and stuff there too ? I mean, it would all be very inaccessible in HC ( or even in SC in the most extreme case ), then maybe you would have a point but ..... it's just not the case. I agree about flares being not easy to use though, but that is getting changed already. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

" Ahhhhhhhhhh. Now I know why those so-called 1k hour testers are useless. None of you boys told GGG that was utter crap? lol. |
|
" Have you noticed that almost all of the problems I complain about get fixed eventually? I'm not just making shit up here. POE is full of flaws. You may be blind to them, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. The issue is that it can take GGG years to do something about trivially easy to fix issues. Do you know why Zana gives you a free map every tier and allows you to run random maps with a bench mod now? Because map accessibility was garbage. It was garbage since day one, though. Why the fuck did it take so long to make two small changes that had a massive effect on accessing maps? If you dig through my post history and see what I complain about, you'll notice a clear pattern of me being absolutely fucking right. I don't care what GGG apologists have to say about my feedback. I don't write it for people like you who have no ability to fix the game. I write it for GGG, who do have that ability. I'm just tired of it taking so damn long for them to make the shittier aspects suck less. That combined with the fact that they consistently fail to learn from their mistakes keeps POE being a far worse game that it should be. " Of all the GGG apologists littering this board, you've always been the most eloquent. I never said the aspects of Delve I'm complaining about are literally impossible to interact with. Why respond as if I did? Edit: Found a relevant post from the "map accessibility sucks" thread. " Последняя редакция: Jennik#1783. Время: 5 сент. 2018 г., 05:32:39

" If you play with the Steam client, check integrity of local files: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335 You can try to uninstall/reinstall the game if you didn't already. |
|
" I didn't speak about 'impossible'. I said "very inaccessible" ( maybe I should have said "hardly accessible" instead ). What you said about Delve really sounds like the different leagues element are very hard to use, and I'm just saying that no, it's really not that bad, as many have been doing it and without dying. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

once again
- no point in doing the mechanic while you are leveling - once you kill kitava I am once again forced into grinding maps for some new resource so I can access new content. I am personally sick of maps - the delves the darkness mechanic that prods me along a linear path at computer set speed does not let me even pick up loot forget exploring anything - the upgrade costs of new mechanics are ridiculous or for those who play 24/7 - explore a nook outside of whatever is main pah - death - take a wrong turn - death - try to explore with flares - death - get to the destination with cart thing then kill waves that spawn ... could have easily made something more engaging instead like bosses that spawn or a unique pack or something instead of just waves that waste time and not fun its like eleron missions you activate one and go afk oh and most master mission - good god why are they in the game at current state -lab is still around and is forced on every character I would probably stop playing if I wasnt playing with a friend. " 1. You don't give the game to be tested to employees. Technically yes, regarding real feedback no. Get educated. 2. With work, kids, real life, and so on, good luck on 1k hours for them. Real hours, not bullshit technical testing at work. Also, good luck on getting an adequate number of testers from all ages. 3. You said yourself that you tested it (and the previous releases). You spent a ton of time on the game. So what's your excuse now? There you got schooled. |
