TRADE is such a detriment to POE 2 being fun
I don't think they should remove trading from the game and as far as I know no one in this thread has suggested that. I don't know why people seem to think that's what we want.
All I want is a slight incentive for not trading. Whether that's slightly boosted rates, or slightly easier challenges. It's stupid to me that if I want a 36 challenge reward I am putting myself at a major disadvantage by not playing trade league. Just let me get the same reward at 34 challenges. There is no reason a slight buff to SSF would hurt anyone that enjoys trade league. It would just make it more fun for me to not engage with it, and I think a lot of players would really like having that choice without feeling like they're forced into trade league because of lack of time and limited time FOMO inducing cosmetics (at least for me, I enjoy collecting them). |

some1 already said it but last epoch did something nice about this.
u had a trade faction , that its an auction house and a non trade version , that boosted drops make SSF get something like that ![]() |

Trade should be removed and game should simply be balanced around SSF. No one actually wants to trade, they're just alcoholics for it.

Also for LE they only allow this after full campaign completion for good reason, so you can't get an advantage over others through on trade on 1st playthrough.
The existence of COF is to compensate for the vastly increased difficulty of a pure SSF mode. POE2 I think trade level restriction for new players is 25. But I strongly recommend ignoring the existence of it for the campaign because it is that much more fun than trading your exalts for an "easy mode". |

Bad take, why is this even being discussed.
Go play SSF if you don't like trade. Stop trying to impose what you believe is fun on others. Stop trying to tell others the "right" way to play the game. This is even more ridiculous when there is an entire mode, SSF, catered to players like you. |

I think were stuck with trade pretty much as it is now (and was in PoE 1) in PoE 2. If you hate having to trade, try Last Epoch, I play both LE AND PoE2. LE has a system in game where, after completing the story you pick between 2 guilds - the merchants guild (which allows player trading in an auction house) - and the Circle of Fortune which does *not* allow trading in an auction house, but allows you to effectively target farm items. All for exactly the reasons you said. They cater to both trade and non trade mindsets. I personally play as Circle of Fortune and I love it in the endgame.

I get you man. Gear for your class not dropping more often than other classes is one issue. Another is MTs. I understand buying tab stash. I don't understand why do I look like always wearing some crappy rags until I buy skin in the store. Where is the magic of old games where everything was a drop and when you saw someone looking badass, you immediately knew he is very high level character who spend a lot of time playing the game and beat very tough bosses. And not 1st lvl char who just have a lot of money. I would rather pay sub but have this feeling back.

Trading is always an awful experience.
"We want drops and crafting to matter" -> all crafting materials are only trading currency since crafting does not matter. Trading is honestly such a bad aspect of every arpg I played. Having to interact with others in a robotic fashion is extremely annoying, at least make it an in game auction house. Having to use third party is awful and I already heard worries of someone phishing for your data (not trusting even a poe webside). |

I use currency exchange only. Probably primarily will always do that, unless something is absolutely build defining and critical to the point I can't progress with out it and really want to.

" I would 100% play in SSF mode if there was something like the CoF in Last Epoch - but as it is now why even bother clicking the SSF button? You can just play in standard and not trade, but if you feel like you want to trade then the option is at least open for you. SSF is for streamers just to prove "they did it on their own" IMO. I thought they said in their trailer that they wanted us to engage in the crafting system but this "crafting" system is basically just making a random yellow that drops on the ground with a lot of steps. For the cost of all the exalts it would take you to make a decent main weapon you could just buy the one you want on trade with the 3 - 4 more important stats you want and it would only take a few minutes. Exalts would have to be dropping like augmentation orbs to actually try to craft your own gear. Последняя редакция: Weaver#3527. Время: 18 дек. 2024 г., 21:42:43
