Because getting up in level means the game opens up more to them and they can try the content they've never done before and have the excitement of getting a first boss kill, maybe getting some loot they've never seen before. Maybe even finally get a 4th ascendency and a whole bunch of other stuff that more seasoned players takes for granted as they've done it 50,000 times before and it got old a long time ago.

I used to play Wow for over a decade and so most things was old to me, one of my favourite things to do was to help friends level because I got to see all the content I took for granted through new eyes so to speak and the sheer pleasure and enjoyment thats felt by new players..

That's not the point.

People are angry because your X hours of farming gets literally deleted the moment you die. That is not fun game design. That's it, its that simple.

The loss of 10% xp is nothing, dying on a juiced map at wrong time and losing the extra content you put into it is. That’s the demoralising element imo, you’re ofc entitled to your own. Lesson is if doing juiced content don’t take the toughest parts until last ;)

Then remove it. Remove one or the other penalty. If we are forced to have a D***o up our behinds then at least limit it to ONE AT A TIME.

Folk who LOVE multiple at the same time are a certain type of a person and should play among themselves SEPERATELY from others.

You mean... any build we have in PoE2 atm? All can die to white mobs = Glass cannon.

I've had dozens of deaths to poorly telegraphed one-shots from white mobs in blue rarity T15 maps, even with capped resistances, over 100 extra health on every gear piece, damage taken from mana before health, health regen of 10% of my total per second, & 30% armor/70% evasion/700 ES using lots of defensive nodes. Nothing stops the one-shots & I can't even change my build into full-ES at this point, because then I don't have enough Dex points to be able to use my spear skills.

I've definitely feel annoyingly funneled by tHe vIsIoN into full offense glass cannon.

This kind of conversation makes the discussion drift away. We have so many topics of people at capped rez and a bunch of evasion report dying randomly. Even when they fix that, the problem stands. Exp loss is a waste of time and useless!
Coming back to what I was suggesting...

Compromise between keeping the challenge and alleviating the frustration

Death = 1 bar down without Omen - 0.25 bar with Omen.

It seems to me that is the best solution. I'm 97, soon 98 (if all goes to plan) and I died like 5 times in this level. I feel that if the above were introduced it wouldn't be so much of a breakdown at death.

But yeah a lot of things are still wrong in terms of situations where death is inevitable, like a map with damage mods and 20 porcupine shooting just as you enter the room. (instant death with 13k ES+HP)

But that would be for another thread.
