This is somewhat true but seriously melee should be more accessible than going ULTRA defensive.

Its not completely true though because with this kind of build you get very comfortable feeling mostly invincible which makes you take more risks. There is so much spikey damage in the game that its likely that you will eventually encounter a mob or boss that will get a lucky streak of hits on you that completely drains your health.

I have said before that I think the devs have screwed themselves by making ranged builds so crazy powerful in this game. Melee will ALWAYS suck in comparison unless they get buffed hard and also become capable of being Godly.

The reason is that its more fun for some people. I can't explain it but I feel compelled to play melee. At least part of that is because I don't care about having the fastest clear speed. I don't "compete" in this game. I play what I like.

I do care about fast clear speed, i dont like to play defensive. And my pure melee indaface dual dagger shadow delivers all this. No kite, no gem swapping, just faceroll all maps oneshotting packs. If you feel melee is bad maybe that's because it's not your playstyle.

Actually what people say is that melee and ranged should be somewhat balanced from eachother which they are not. If ranged was on par with melee then I would never say anything at all.

he only had 3.6k hp not tanky by any means. while i do agree that melee is more risk for not much reward no matter what buffs go to melees survivability ranged will always be better due to you don't have to be close to the monsters unlike melee.
